I would like to improve game play Too maximum For Others & My Self. And I thought this would be my dream job." The industry had moved such that it is almost all in CA. Electronic Arts holds the lion's share. You don;t create the game you want, you produce the game you are hired for, that the marketing people say is most saleable. You work basically project by project. The hours are very long and the pay is not commiserate. Designing a game for 60 hours a week for a year and a half of your life is not very satisfying. The people more miserable than the game designers were the game testers - imagine playing a BROKEN game over and over and over for MONTHS ! You have to find all the ways the game is broken. Think about it, if it was fun they would get volunteers, not pay you for it. My husband was in the industry for years he had never played a game he worked on cause he was so sick of them by the time they came out.
