The legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is a game that was recently developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS. Early October was the release date of Phantom Hourglass in North America. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is the next in the Legend of Zelda Series and is sequel to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

This game has 3-Demensional graphics along with an overhead camera and controls distinct to the Nintendo DS. Some of those controls involve the Touch Screen along with the microphone. It is well known that Nintendo incorporates multi-player mode into many of their games, but Phantom Hourglass is the first Nintendo game to incorporate online opposition using Nintendo’s Wi-Fi Connection.

Harmonix Music Systems developed Rock Band and MTV Games published it. At the end of November Rock Band was released for the Xbox 360 and also for the Playstation 3, and mid December marks the Rock Band release for the Play Station 2. Rock Band rocks the world with its 4 player mode. The players rock their virtual band with the lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, or the microphone. The notes for the players scroll across the screen. Rock Band members who play on the Xbox 360 or the Playstation 3 can network through the offline and online multiplayer modes. In the future this game has the potential of have hundreds of songs that are made available through downloadable content.

Gameplay
The Band Meter, which is green and on the left part of the screen, evaluates the performance of each band member. The Energy Meter, which is gold and is displayed beneath each player, shows the Overdrive of each player.

Rock Band uses a lot of the same gameplay fundamentals as Guitar Hero. Players use “instruments” to play along with and in time with the music notes as the scroll toward the players. Basically Rock Band is an expansion of Guitar Hero because it offers game play on the drums, vocals, and the lead guitar along with the bass guitar. Single player mode is called “Solo Tour Mode.” In single player mode the player has the choice to choose to play the lead guitar, the drums, or the voice. Multiplayer mode consists of 2 to 4 players in the “Band World Tour.” The Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360 maintain local and online play for the multiplayer modes. Band World Tour is not part of the online play. The Playstation2 supports only local play. (more…)

The year is 2020 you are a Lieutenant named Jake Dunn in the United States Army Delta Force. Your team is deployed to investigate a team of archeologist’s taken captive by the North Korean Army. The team of archeologist’s had just made an important discovery in the South China Sea before there were taken. It is initially found that an asteroid that landed on the island is actually an alien vessel. Soon into the game you find the the mountain at the center of the island beginning to crumble. Inside of the 2 kilometer hole you find a alien ship. All war breaks lose when the aliens begin attacking both the Americans and the North Koreans. You enter the alien ship and begin to explore the weightless environment obtaining information about the invaders.

Who says online computer games are for geeks and techies? In the land of South Korea, the online computer gaming industry is not for the faint of heart and mind. Not to mention the faint of money. In the year of 2006 alone, almost 2 trillion won have been contributed to the sales of Korean online games and is expected to reach even higher sales in the next year. With the ever changing, ever evolving faces and plots in the gaming industry, multimillion hits are anticipated to dominate the year of 2007. Even the South Korean government has been involved with the regulation and promotion of these computer games. But with great success, new threats are also bound to show.

Super Mario Galaxy is a 3 dimensional game from Nintendo for the Wii. This game is the third installment of 3-D Mario games. Its predecessors are Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. This Mario game follows suit with many of the other Mario games. Mario’s quest is to save Princess Peach from all-time enemy Bowser. To do this he must travel through space and conquer levels that take the form of galaxies and planetoids. In this new game you will see new effects like new power-ups and gravity effects. When it was first displayed in 2006, it captured much attention. Since then, Super Mario Galaxy has received outstanding reviews from the gaming press.

A cardEye of Judgement game like any other, Eye of Judgment however, is a revolution in itself as a creature would pop up as if it’s alive from the card, when the card is shown to the camera,This says Yusuke Watanabe, the games Lead Designer and Producer, is due to Eye of Judgment (PS3) featuring a new technology in which it can scan and recognize images and create complete 3D characters within the game.
