In the latest installment of Call of Duty, comes Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. This version was developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision for Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, becoming the eighth installment in the Call of Duty Series. In the completely different view on the series, comes a plot that plays through a more film like style rather than on the three country-specific campaign, that also interlaces with story lines that make Call of Duty 4 seem more realistic than the rest of the series. New artillery includes silenced MP5SD submachine guns, the FGM-148 Javelin portable anti-tank guided missileM203 grenade launchers, and the AN/PEQ-2 Target Pointer for use in conjunction with night vision goggles with many other heavy weapons in store.
The gameplay is still a first person shooter, but set into a time other than World War II and into Russia in the perspective of a British 22 Special Air Service Regiment operative and an American 1st Force Recon operative in the Middle East. Call of Duty 4 focuses on the variation of modern warfare with many different scenarios that give you heavy intensity fire fights and slower paced drama styles. (more…)
