Online Gaming Etiquette: It’s How You Choose to React to Others
Whenever one would go online and play video games, there are probably two situations that would come to mind: Either all virtual doom goes haywire or everything moves on smoothly on the online arena.
Such is what goes on online. And how this may go about may heavily depend on what may be referred to as one’s “online gaming etiquette.”
It’s a Hard Knock Life… Or so It Seems.
It’s hard. It’s harsh. It’s downgrading. And it’s basically a headache-inducing situation. That is mostly what you may have to expect once you go on the Internet gaming grounds.
Faced with this notion, do you think that these things aren’t supposed to be experienced? Or, do you view these as something that one has to go through in order to learn more of the games on the virtual community?
What you may have to understand is that this is mostly part and parcel of what you will encounter on the Internet video gaming industry – whether you like it or not.
With all the things that are (personally) considered to be wrong – like those playing sessions that are noticeably filled by players having a vindictive spirit, those who are governed by grudges, those who have nothing in mind but giving threats to one’s ego, gamers who overstep one’s boundaries, or those who (seem to) love the harsh exchange of words – you may wonder what the Internet arena is ever going to come up to in the end.
A lingering question may be: Is it all violence not only on the games but the gamers who play them?
Who knows?
The Games Must Go On.
With all these going on, gamers still live to tell the tale of their momentary glory or downfall at the end of each session. That’s a fact.
In whatever manner any of the two situations ensue, whether the player wins or loses the game, players like you still continue to play.
The result at the end is mostly what matters most.
That’s why it’s really quite amusing to see that most of the gamers like you would pretend to ignore the disrespectful attitude of the other gamers online because of this moment of revelation when the game is finished.
Because winning is so important, in order to do all the (possible) winning efforts, petty things are chosen to be disregarded. It’s this simple a choice for most of the winning gamers.
One good thing about this type of attitude stems from the notion that most of the players like you see these things as part of gaming. It’s merely something that is designed to distract you. So, you choose if you would like to be affected or not.
If you choose the latter, together with this nonchalant attitude, the session moves on. And inner peace is then achieved.
There May be a Silver Lining After All.
So, is being unaffected really that important on the grounds of fame and glory?
Actually, it depends.
It merely depends on the gamer and how that player reacts to the one who is bent on distracting the other’s manner of playing or, is perhaps, bent on establishing an irritating intrusion on one’s personal life. It depends on how this is all taken.
Everyone knows that attitude matters. And the player who has this on the positive side always wins even though the score at the end didn’t tally with that person’s initial desires.
It’s a Matter of Looking Within Yourself.
So, it’s more of an intrinsic feeling that should govern you that will coincide with that conscious desire to make the most of the playing experience – win or lose.
But, how are you going to do this when you are more of the conscious type who doesn’t really bother with what is within? What if there are times when you simply can’t control your emotions that you notice that this sort of attitude makes the game turn for the worse because of your reaction to other’s attitudes?
Here are some of the things that you may do to cultivate a more inner motive on continuing any particular video game on the online arena:
* Practicing the Skills and Attitudes
* Taking Great Efforts
* Embarking on Continuous Progress
Practice Makes Perfect.
It takes practice. It needs a whole lot of effort.
Sounds pretty daunting to you?
Perhaps.
But then, we know that you understand that you need to take a huge effort at this if you’re willing to win continuously with the game’s battle and that battle with your emotions when someone tries to upset you.
To do this, you need to keep a few moments of silence, and just free your mind of needless worries, problems, and concerns about the game that you are going to engage in on the Internet.
Concentrate only on how you play and how the other person plays. Ignore the other things that you think wouldn’t contribute to what you want to happen on the playing session.
Focus on Taking the Effort to Make it Work.
Of course, it’s hard to relax at first and ignore the petty things another gamer says or does. That’s expected.
But, you have to do it if you like to rid yourself of needless anxiety from other players.
Remember that everything is usually hard to do at first. Eventually, it gets easier every time you do it.
In doing so, you earn more. And you will see that in the long run you will be able to concentrate easily on how you play regardless of what the other person does.
Continue the Hard Work.
What’s better than making everything work at first? Making it work continuously.
Yes, you have to put yourself up for a continuous progress.
That’s a winner’s perspective.
You win on the gaming session, and you win on other things about the game because you can sail through the negative arrows other players would like to aim and shoot at you.
If you only choose not to react during the first few games, and blow your top on other sessions, you will see that this will not really help you grow as a gamer.
Continuous progress is important.
As such, when all else fails, it’s really your attitude that will make you see how you fared in the game on the Internet video gaming world.

Hey
Nice post
Online games have been expanding like nothing on the Internet.
Many new online gaming sites have come up.
Even I’m a big sucker of online games. They are usually easy on systems, have a light theme and can be interesting without getting addictive.
I am specially fond of games at Zapak.com.

That is a great way to look at it. No matter if its a first person shooter game or a sports game, other opponents are going to humiliate you on the battlefield at first.
you can either get pissed and act like an idiot, or use it as a learning experience and have some fun with it.
Eventually you will be the one dishing out the frustration. Its a dog eat dog world out there so you have to accept the fact that once you get some skill you must destroy and demoralize your opponent at all costs.
After all, you play to win right?
