Left 4 Dead

“If it’s not one of us, kill it!” -Zoey: SurvivorLeft 4 Dead

Oh yeah folks, it’s an old fashion zombie shoot’em up game…with a twist! Instead of just running through a game shootin’ zombies, you’ve now got the option to do it with three of your friends or if you’d like, become an infected (one of the zombie bosses) and attack the survivors. Do I have your attention now? Good. Keep reading or your brains will be eaten.

First off, lets show you how good the game is. The game came out, available for the XBOX 360 and the PC on November 17, 2008. That left a little over a month for the game to be out in ‘08. Here are how many awards it’s already won for ‘08. Oh yeah, its that good. (more…)

Critical Hit - Valkyrie

Valkyrie

ValkyrieAn intense thrill ride that left me tired! That’s what Valkyrie did for me but yet…I’m not complaining.

You see, the Nazi’s were so evil that even a small few of them knew that Hitler needed to be killed because he was so crazy. Valkyrie is based upon a true story of a small group of Nazi’s that wanted to kill Hitler so that Germany could go back to being a respectable country again and not a genocidal tyrant on the world.

Let me start by saying that I had my reservations (more…)

Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia (NDS)- Review

In our minds, the precise explanation as to why we didn’t really get on with the original Shadows of Almia ArtPokémon Ranger and yet love its sequel, Pokémon Ranger: Shadows Of Almia, is likely to go down as one of the greatest mysteries of our time. Well, probably. The reason for the confusion lies with our general preconceptions with how Pokémon games and their sequels work: one game sets the benchmark (Ranger, Mystery Dungeon, Red/Blue) and then The Pokémon Company reuses that game over and over with a few subtle tweaks until the end of time. With that being the case then, we should be as nonplussed with Shadows Of Almia as we were with the last game… and yet, we’re not. Weird. (more…)

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World Review

January 02, 2009 By: TripleJump Category: General, Nintendo Wii 4 Comments →

Tales of Symphonia on the GameCube was without a doubt one of my favorite games of all Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New Worldtime. To a lot of people it wasn’t really that special, maybe it was because it was my first RPG that I enjoyed it so much. Nevertheless, it was a good game that was a savior to the RPG starved library of the GameCube. Then Namco announced a sequel and we (I) squealed and couldn’t wait to play it. Was it worth the wait? Well… not as much as you’d hope.

First off, let me begin by saying DO NOT buy this until you have played the first game. The first game was better and you will probably have much of the first game spoiled if you haven’t played it, as well as you won’t know what’s going on for the most part.

All the playable characters from the first game make an appearance in this game (although not all are playable). (more…)
