Critical Hit - 12 Rounds
WWE finally delivers on a movie!
Det. Danny Fisher (John Cena) has a normal day until he has a run in with an international arms dealer. Fisher apprehends Miles Jackson (Aidan Gillen). A year later, Jackson returns to bring hell down on Fisher’s life. First he takes Molly Porter (Ashley Scott) Fisher’s girlfriend and to get her back he’ll have to play through Jackson’s 12 rounds of challenges.

Keep in mind, 12 Rounds is not a sequel to The Marine. This is a totally different story that blows the Marine out of the water. Cena has a part that allows him to act some this time. He’s no Dwayne Johnson but he’s much better than Hulk Hogan. So props go out to Cena for doing a good acting job. Gillen too did a fantastic job as a crazy Irish terrorist bent on killing to world in order to ruin one man’s life. Everyone else in the movie did a fine job but their roles didn’t allow for them to shine much either.

If you want to see an action movie, then 12 Rounds is for you. Action films are few and far between these days. You have a lot of posers for sure but 12 Rounds is no poser. The movie starts out slow but once Fisher is doing the challenges the action only stops to catch its breath and then takes off in a full sprint once again. One of my favorite moments in the film has to do with a huge driving scene involving a fire truck. I’ve never seen that done before and it was fantastic.

All in all, if you are a WWE fan and love John Cena then you’ll really like 12 Rounds. This isn’t an awesome movie but is a fun ride. If you are an action film fan then you’ll really like 12 Rounds as well. So get going! You only have so much time until the next round!
Until next time, choose better names for your pugs and watch out for those Critical Hits!
