Some of the changes for the new Sims game are as follows:
- A “Collector’s Edition” will be released and feature a USB drive, an exclusive in-game car, a hints and tips guide and stickers as well as the game.
- Sims will travel to buildings in their neighborhoods to work. New careers will be added and for the first time part-time work will be available. Sims will also be able to bring work home or work overtime.
- Neighborhoods will be entirely open. Sims will be free to wander around the world outside of their homes without the need for loading screens…awesome!
- Build mode will be improved
- The game will be played in real-time which means that Sims not controlled by the player will still age, get married, and experience world events.
- Create-A-Sim will allow players to control more of their Sims now. Fitness bars can be adjusted to create extremely obese or muscular Sims. Personality points will be replaced by personality traits. At each life stage you’ll receive a new one (up to five). Players will be able to decide their Sims favorite colors, food, etc.
- New tools will allow players to “customize nearly everything in the game”…fun.
