Star Trek Online or STO is an epic new Massively Multiplayer Online game which is has yet to have an official announce date released. However, there is a lot of fun information out and about for the Trek fan to droll over. I’ve grown up on Trek and consider myself a proud Trekkie. However, this post will not be information on the game, that will come soon.
Today, I want to speak on the timeline of Star Trek. STO will take place in the year 2409, 29 years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis. The entire timeline has not yet be written but plenty has. What is interesting about this information is that it is cannon. Trek has announced that this game is going to be apart of Trek lore, not some confounded mish mash like Star War Galaxies was. To prove my point I’m going to list the timeline thats been created thus far and let you see how it all ties into the new Star Trek movie that comes out this Friday, May 8th. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but some may consider this a spoiler. In reality its more of the story that sets up the movie and I found it fascinating and down right awesome!
