It has almost become a tradition for every comic-book label to produce a single video game containing virtually every hero and villain their comics have ever played host to, and those traditions are now getting sequals! Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 is the latest.

Much like the original Marvel: Ultimate Alliance title, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 boasts one big thing from the very beginning - an incredibly large selection of playable characters, all of which are a familiar face to the comic-book fans out there and there are plenty of you around. But characters can only carry a game so far - but thankfully Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 appears to offer much more than just great characters.

Whilst the limitless player combinations make the game different for everyone, all games will experience the same game environment which has been created to a great level of detail by developers Vicarious Visions. The environment your battles take place within practically feel alive themselves and play a big part in what happens, so using your environments wisely is key to success in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2.

The storyline goes deeper here than your average comic-book game release but we don’t want to spoil things for you but it’s safe to say if you love comics, and love beat-em-up or action titles then Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 is certainly a game worth waiting for and it’s due to hit shelves on September 25th 2009.
