How does hitting an online battlefield alongside 255 other real life gamers sound? You know it sounds fantastic – and your wishes will soon be fulfilled with the approaching title from the creators of Socom, suitably named MAG – Massive Action Game!

Fans of Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six and everything else along those lines have been drooling at the propect of MAG’s promises since they were revealed way back at E3 in 2008, but with the games’ development now at an advanced stage we are very excited to say it looks like no promises will be broken when MAG hits shelves, which will probably happen early 2010 although no date has been set as yet.

What makes MAG so exciting? You make up part of an 8-man squadron and head into the hectic online battlefields. The reason they are so hectic is that they will feature a total of up to 256 players at any one time, a distinction no other game of this type comes close to!

The exact details of what game modes MAG will offer have yet to be confirmed, but it does not take a genius to work out playing these kinds of games online with that many real life opponents is going to be one hell of a crazy experience, with fun hitting levels many war-shooter games’ fans have not experienced before in their favourite shooting franchise.
