Ratchet and Clank return to the Playstation 3 in Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time, their seventh venture into the video game world. Many game series’ would be getting a bit tiresome by now, but these guys just keep getting better!

Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time is essentially the conclusion to the storyline started in the previous title, Tools of Destruction, with Clank tucked away somewhere chilling with some robotic buddies and Ratchet desperately scouring the universe in an attempt to track down his side-kick.

The trademark of the series is undoudtedly the over-the-top but incredibly smooth and enjoyable shooting sequences, of which there are countless as you progress through the game. Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time however introduces some very creative episodes focusing on Clank, in which you are challenged to solve some tricky but fun puzzles using a number of “past selves” to help you progress - it’s hard to explain but trust us, it’s great!

The worlds you visit on your travels are as colourful and vibrant as ever before, perhaps more-so, and Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time strikes a perfect balance between frantic shooter and pleasant platformer making for a unique game which you can’t help but love from start to finish, however old you are.
