Standing out in what is probably the most saturated video game genre certainly is not easy, but the team behind Battlefield: Bad Company 2 intend to do it - much like they did with the original Bad Company title last summer.

The first game introduced something quite new to the genre which is very rare in these kinds of games, as their is very little obvious variation that can be included to set specific titles apart from the countless competitors - however the dry sense of humour featured in the first game proved one such variation that other titles haven’t tried, and it was a huge success. Thankfully this makes a return in Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Aside from the humour, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is looking to move on a bit in terms of action, with the introduction of some much more frantic battle sequences than we saw in the first title. You can expect to see much more emphasis placed on the military-styling of the game, storyline and the enviroments in which it all takes place.

As with any first person shooter sequal a load of new weapons, vehicles and game modes are expected but specific details of these are yet to be announced for Battlefield: Bad Company 2, but don’t worry, they have been promised!

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is pencilled in for a March 2010 release on the Playstation 3, XBox 360 and this time around the PC too.
