Rhythm gaming seems to have taken over the industy in recent years, but the younger audience may have been overlooked until now. Lego Rock Band brings the guitar strumming, drum beating, lyric pelting Rock Band series to the masses – in a more family friendly overall package.
We will assume you already know what games such as Guitar Hero and more specifically Rock Band are all about, because if you haven’t discovered them yet, you’re no gamer! One drawback of these titles in many parents eyes has been the inclusion of tracks that could be deemed unsuitable for children or young teenagers – but Lego Rock Band fixes that problem without taking too much from the games’ experience, and taking none of the fun factor away at all.

LEGO ROCK BAND TRAILER |
Every track in Lego Rock Band is perfectly suitable for all ages, but they still offer gamers various difficulty levels to ensure it caters for the wishes of gamers of any age too. Tracks are taken from years gone by to modern day and there is something for everybody here quite literally.
The customisation level of the characters in Lego Rock Band is great, much like in other Lego titles in recent years such as Indiana Jones and Star Wars. One major part of Rock Band which isn’t present in Lego Rock Band is that of online competitive modes – instead multiplayer gaming in Lego Rock Band is stricly limited to you inviting some friends round, but you can manage that right?
All things considered, Lego Rock Band is a fantastic introduction to the rhythm gaming genre for the younger rockers out there and doesn’t fail to offer value for money. If you already own the original Rock Band, or Rock Band 2 of course, then you’ll want to save your money for something else.
