The popularity of UFC, or the Ultimate Fighting Championship if you’re not familiar with it, has been rising rapidly globally since the launch of UFC Undisputed 2009 last year. Thanks to it’s success, there are now big expectations levelled at the next instalment, UFC Undisputed 2010, which will be released in a few months.
The exact details of UFC Undisputed 2010 are yet to be confirmed by publishers THQ, but they have been hapily answering questions from the gaming press masses – albeit with slightly vague answers at this stage.

One thing which they have been keen to get across is the fact that UFC Undisputed 2010 more than doubles the number of submission moves that we saw in the 2009 title, and camera effects and controls have been tweaked to enhance these vital fight moments further still. For example if you begin a submission move, the camera will zoom in or out depending on how close to victory it’s taking you – a nice touch which will make those moments that bit more exhilirating.
Although nothing has been confirmed, another likely feature is that of relationship manipulation in UFC Undisputed 2010. It’s understood that disrepecting opponents before fights will increase your popularity with the spectators, but as a result the rivalry with your next opponent will be that little more heated! Online game modes are again unconfirmed, but expected to feature quite heavily as THQ look to capitalise in the popularity surge of UFC.
UFC Undisputed 2010 will appear on Playstation 3, XBox 360 and Playstation Portable and is due to ship in March both in North America and Europe. We’ll bring you a confirmed date when it’s revealed!
