Almost one year ago since their last release which was a huge let down, developers Creative Assembly get back to what they do best with the impending release of Napoleon: Total War for the PC, part of their critically acclaimed Total War series.
We should point out the title we’ve referred to as a huge let down – Stormrise. Despite the developers vast experience with real-time strategy games, that particular venture away from their more trademarked Total War style was a nasty one!

NAPOLEON: TOTAL WAR TRAILER |
On the up-side, things can only get better, and Napoleon: Total War looks to build on the outstanding achievements of the Empire, Rome, Medievil, Spartan and Shogan instalments in the series before it. However Napoleon: Total War itself promises a slight change of direction for the series, and only time will tell whether or not the risk will pay off.
Total War titles have in the past guaranteed lengthy tactical battles of epic proportions, but that will not be the case in Napoleon: Total War. Instead this time around, the focus is shifted onto the apparantly glorious career of – you guessed it – Napoleon Bonaparte.
Napoleon: Total War looks great so far though, and although it was originally planned as nothing more than an expansion pack to Empire Total War it does appear to warrant a full game release of it’s own. It features the usual visual styling of a Total War title, and will give you the opportunity to try and re-live Napoleon’s success in some historical real-life battles.
Napoleon: Total War is a PC exclusive and is released on February 23rd 2010.
