Following the successful return of the classic beat-em-up series last year in the form of Street Figher IV, Capcom are following up with the imminent release of Super Street Fighter IV.
Much like the original title of the same name all those years ago, Super Street Fighter IV is pretty much a pimped up version of Street Fighter IV. Given todays hardware capabilities you would be forgiven for expecting this to be a downloadable game expansion, but that’s not the case.

SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV TRAILER |
Development issues with Street Fighter IV have prevented the new content that comes with Super Street Fighter IV from being simply ‘installed’, but developers Capcom are confident enough in the new additions this title will bring to release it as a seporate game – although it will retail at a reduced price, as it is still essentially a game expansion and little more.
The visuals have been improved in Super Street Fighter IV, as was the case with the retro titles. This latest instalment also brings a range of new fighters into your arena, all of which are of course playable. Some are brand new, never before seen fighters whilst others will be familiar to fans of the series.
Nothing much has changed in terms of actual gameplay in Super Street Fighter IV, but new and improved multiplayer modes have been promised! Whether or not these promises will be kept remain to be seen, but we think a developer of Capcom’s standing should be good for their word.
Super Street Fighter IV is released for Playstation 3 and XBox 360 on April 27th 2010.
