Concrete details may be up in the air to say the least, but what we do know for sure is that Max Payne and Rockstar Games is one combination that we personally can not resist getting excited about. Max Payne 3 is in development, and should be with us before the year is out.
Although it’s not the Rockstar studio behind the infamous GTA titles, it’s still Rockstar, and it’s the studio behind Bully which was equally as addictive and intuitive when it came down to the nitty gritty gameplay experience. With Max Payne 3, we hope they’re going to take inspiration from the likes of GTA and Red Dead Redemption and create a truly memorable title – as the combination certainly throws up the potential for one.

As we already mentioned, details on Max Payne 3 are still very sketchy and even the pencilled in release period of third-quarter 2010 is vauge to say the least, but given the history of Max Payne and the huge following of Rockstar titles it will inevitably prove a hotly anticipated title when it does finally land itself in our local game stores.
Rumours suggest that a shift in the direction of reality is coming in Max Payne 3, particularly with your ability to carry weapons. Gone are the unrealistic ammo-stashes which you somehow manage to conceal, and instead you are down to two or three weapons that you could conceivably carry if you yourself were Max Payne.
