Sony’s flagship exclusive shooter is heading back for it’s third instalment, and Killzone 3 promises to be bigger and badder than the previous titles in the series.

Bigger and badder? Only time will tell if that promise can be delivered – but given the fact the version we have seen so far has been tagged as “pre-alpha”, we can confirm that Killzone 3 breaks new ground for the series in terms of visual quality, and the visuals certainly weren’t bad before!

KILLZONE 3 TRAILER

Everything in Killzone 3 seems to have been recreated with gorgeous attention to detail, from the characters themselves through to minor things within the battle zones – curtains for example! They have thought of everything and it looks absolutely fantastic.

All the high-heat battle intensity is making a welcomed return, and enemies from the past are also still around but with new ways to bring you down – or at least try. Needless to say you will also have a few new tricks up your own sleeves too.

Somewhat bizarrely it has been confirmed that Killzone 3 will support the Playstation Move – Sony’s new motion sensing technology. How exactly the Playstation Move will be incorporated into the game we don’t know, but we can’t wait to find out!

Killzone 3 is scheduled for release in February 2011 and will of course be exclusive to the Playstation 3 console.
