Project Mercury, the super secret title by 38 Studios, has officially been announced as Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.  Unveiled by EA and 38 Studios, Reckoning has been under development at 38 Studios under Ken Rolston, who was lead designer for Elder Scrolls III and IV.

The team behind Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is quite impressive. Not only is Ken Rolston heading up the project, but NY Times best-selling author R. A. Salvatore and Spawn creator Todd McFarlane have been part of development as well.  Jen MacLean, CEO of 38 Studios, stated, “We are thrilled to be developing an open-world RPG under the leadership of one of the greatest RPG designers in the industry, with creative direction by one of the most iconic artists of our time.”
