The Microsoft keynote is still going on at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS), but some interesting news is already slipping out. In what for me is one of the most anticipated games, Metal Gear Solid Rising, was shown. It featured a new trailer and some live demoing of chopping up a watermelon. What might be more news worthy is that no mention of Kinect support was included. Since the game is being made in Japan it was expected that if any announcement was to be made this would be the place. The game was shown right after head of Xbox Japan Takashi Sensu was speaking to the strength of Japanese Developers. Soon after the keynote moved into Kinect themed news (no pun intended), demos, and announcements. Since some of these games do not even have titles it seems as if Kinect was coming to MGS Rising this would have been the perfect opportunity. The further implications of this news could be that if there is no Kinect compatibility it seems elementary that no Playstation Move support would come either. I suppose since we don’t even have a release date the announcement still could come but the likelihood certainly did take a hit after this show. Wether it be with a controller, a glowing wand, or nothing at all I cannot wait to slice people up as the baddest Cyborg Ninja Pretty-Boy ever.
