Reports are beginning to pour in on the Halo: Reach message boards from angry gamers who are getting disk read errors and freezing when popping in their copy of Halo: Reach. After pouring over the complaints it seems that this is mostly affecting launch 360′s of the 20gb hard drive variety, although some Elite owners are reporting problems also. (Personally I’m surprised there are launch 360′s out there still operating but I digress) Microsoft has recognized the problem with this statement.

“We are aware of a very small number of customers reporting that their copy of Halo: Reach is causing a ‘disc read’ error. Those affected should contact Microsoft customer support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX for troubleshooting assistance.”
