We take a final look at Namco’s reboot of Splatterhouse. Is it worth your hard earned cash or would you be better suited to keep your memories of the original? Horror-themed video games are some of my favorites. Games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Eternal Darkness have been scaring gamers half-to-death for quite sometime. Perhaps some of those games owe their creepy origins to Namco’s 1988 sidescrolling beat ‘em up Splatterhouse. With its dark atmosphere and haunting music, the arcade classic certainly left an impression on those who played it.
