World 2 is titled Victoria’s Laboratory, this world is full of cake related puzzles and a few new items like the Grabinator and Cakeinator.

Return to Top Level 1: Run Away Train

Your newest toy is the Grabinator, which makes it possible to pick up a variety of objects, including your partner! If you’re having a particularly hard time reaching a certain spot, don’t be shy about picking them and heaving them where they need to be. Be careful about accidentally picking them up and chucking them down into a pit though.

Use your Grabinators to make your way down through the lairs of cake; don’t go too fast though, because there are prize bubbles to be had. Work your way to the left and you will uncover some hidden stickers.

After stomping a few meanies, you will find a barrier and what looks like an oven. Grab one of the globs of ham, carefully negotiate the spring jumps, and use the final jump to heave the jelly glob into the button. The blockage will be removed and you will be able to continue.

After opening the barrier, you will be confronted with this massive Dessert Mech. You will encounter many such machines over the course of the game, but don’t be intimidated by their size. Use the springboard to get enough air to take down this delicious monstrosity.

Return to Top Level 2: Brainy Cakes

Begin by running to the left and snagging the prize bubbles there. When you’re done, run back to the right past Victoria. Jump up until you reach the top of the scenery and run left. Drop behind the gate and use the hidden springboard to collect the prize bubbles there.

Continue to the right and you will notice a long railing leading downward. You can’t quite make the leap on your own, so you’ll need some help. Luckily, some of the nearby rolls can be used as an impromptu means by which to slide down the railing. Simply grab and jump on the rail, but don’t let go.

The next set of moving platforms present a different challenge. To get over the barriers, you will need to grab a roll. Let the platform sink out from below your feet and hang onto the railing using the cake. When the platform comes back up, press jump and it will boost you over the fence. This technique can also be used to obtain the prize bubbles above.

There is a 2x Teamwork challenge beyond the wrought-iron spinning wheel. Together with your partner, you will need to place one of the tiny robots on either side of the apparatus blocking the prize bubbles. Use the robots as leverage to reach the buttons and snag the prize bubbles.

Another roller coaster-type apparatus awaits you. This time, you will need to grab a doughnut and use the momentum from the sweet to carry you over to the springboards to the left. They will carry up and over to your destingation. Don’t forget to grab the prize bubbles along the way and let go before you ride it all the way to death.

Your final obstacle is a diabolical set of cookie sheets. After speaking with Victoria, you will find yourself in an oven in which you will have to move quickly to avoid being plunged into sticky goo located throughout the apparatus. Keep moving as the cookie sheets steadily retract, and you will reach the end of the level.

Return to Top Level 3: Cakeinator

The Cakeinator is your newest weapon in the fight against evil. Use its tasty ammo to take out enemies, push down bridges or as a means to create a handy platform. You’ll need it to solve all of the puzzles scattered throughout this level.

Below this dropoff is a nasty set of gears. Try to jump off, and your Sackboy will be a pile of shredded fluff in no time. Fire one of your cakes at the conveyor headed downward and turn it into an impromptu elevator. It will allow you to reach the bottom safely.

A x2 challenge lies not far to the left from the teacup. A set of stickers sits out of reach, with the key being to use the giant scale to reach them. Have your partner attach a cake to the bottom of the lefthand scale to pull it down while you ride the right side up to the stickers above.

Yet another application for the Cakeinator is as a handy jam absorber. Whenever you see big droplets of jam blocking an area where you need to jump, fire a cake at the chute to stop the flow long enough to get where you need. In this case, get the prize bubble before jumping down the chute.

You may not notice the prize bubbles over your head as you make your way through this level’s sticky gauntlet. Before jumping across the second gap, fire a cake above your head to pull down the ceiling block and release a prize bubble.

As you near the end of the stage, you may notice a trio of prize bubbles that seem beyond the capabilities of even your marvelous Cakeinator. You will need to use the scale below as a catapult to reach them. Fire a cake at the other end of the scale and press jump to use the momentum to reach your prizes.

Return to Top Level 4: Current Affairs

Much of this level is about timing. Currents pulse through many of the platforms, and one ill-timed jump can result in a very quick death. In this instance, don’t try to jump over the current, because you will die extremely quickly.

Don’t pass by the first grate area without going inside first. Hidden behind the door is a secret springboard that will send you up high enough to collect the stickers.

A x2 challenge awaits along the main path. To be successful, each player will need to take position next to one of the switches and work together to direct the current through the maze. When it reaches the top, it will release a set of prize bubbles.

The next section will require you to make use of the piston platforms while avoiding the current. Let the power of the pistons push you upward into the prize bubbles while being careful to avoid the current above and below you.

Your final obstacle is a massive machines and an electrified platform. You can’t jump over the platform, so you will have to use the tiny robots it produces to get over instead. Once you’ve made it over, pull the plug and finish the stage!

Return to Top Level 5: King Kong

The boss is a massive wall crawler that attacks with electrical currents. You will need to jump over the currents while throwing cakes at the spot that is periodically revealed between it’s mechanical mandibles. Once you’ve hit it enough, it will continue higher on the screen.

On the next level it will attack with bouncing jelly shots. Get under their arc and target its weak spot once again with a well-placed cake. It will continue upward once again after you’ve hit it enough times.

On the final level it will open fire with an electrical current. Wait until the current is at around knee level, and use the springboard to jump over it. It will open its mouth after firing the current, which is your cue to finish it off with one last cake.
