One of the coolest things in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is all the different Marvel hero’s costumes. This guide will help you get them all.

Return to Top Captain America

Steve Rogers, bastion of the American way, is available right at the onset of the game. Choose to play as the Anti-Registration side to keep Cap as a selectable character for the entire game.

Alternate Costume: Captain America’s alternate costume is inspired by the outfit he wore during his time fighting in World War II. As seen in The Ultimates which was drawn by Bryan Hitch. Unlock this outfit by killing 50 enemies while playing as Captain America in the Anti-Registration story.

Wealthy industrialist Tony Stark is no pushover while wearing his incredibly powerful suit and can be selected at the beginning of the game. Choose to fight for the Pro-Registration side to keep Iron Man as a selectable character throughout the entire game.

Alternate Costume: Iron Man’s alternate costume takes after Jack Kirby’s designs which appeared during Marvel’s Silver Age. Unlock this outfit by defeating 50 enemies while playing as Iron Man in the Pro-Registration story.

Peter Parker, no stranger to moral dilemmas, is available from the start of the game. Choose the Pro-Registration story to keep Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man selectable for the whole game.

Alternate Costume: After siding with the Pro-Registration movement, Tony Stark builds Spider-Man a suit implementing the same technology he uses in his own Iron Man armor, as seen in the Civil War series. Unlock this outfit by defeating 50 enemies while playing as Spider-Man in the Pro-Registration storyline.

James Howlett, a.k.a. Logan, having lived a lifetime and then some,is the best there is at what he does, but what he does isn’t very nice. Select the Anti-Registration side to keep Wolverine as a playable character throughout the entire game.

Alternate Costume: Wolverine’s alternate costume is based on suit he wore during the Secret War conflict in Latveria as drawn by Gabriele Dell’Otto. Unlock this outfit by killing 50 enemies while playing as Wolverine in the Anti-Registration storyline.

his Hero for Hire stands up for what he believes is right, and is available from the beginning of the game. Select the Anti-Registration story to keep Luke Cage as a playable character for the whole game.

Alternate Costume: Cage’s superhero-esque suit is inspired by the digs he wore during the Secret War conflict in Latveria as drawn by Gabriele Dell’Otto. Unlock this outfit by killing 50 enemies while playing as Luke Cage in the Anti-Registration story.

Blind lawyer Matt Murdock’s day job is defending the innocent in the courtroom, while at night he patrols the street of New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen. Daredevil is playable throughout the entire course of the game, regardless of which side you choose.

Alternate Costume: Murdoch’s two-tone suit, based on what he donned while fighting Nick Fury’s Secret War in Latveria, is unlocked by defeating 50 enemies while playing as Daredevil after deciding between the Pro or Anti-Registration causes, regardless of which path you choose to follow.

X-Man Bobby Drake has faced off against the likes of Magneto and Apocalypse but nothing could have prepared him to fight against his own allies. Iceman is selectable throughout the entire game, no matter which side you choose to play.

Alternate Costume: Bobby’s more clothed look, inspired by his appearance in the X-Men: Ronin series as drawn by Makoto Nakatsuka, is unlocked by killing 50 enemies while playing as Iceman after deciding between the Pro or Anti-Registration causes, regardless of which path you choose to follow.

Danny Rand, having mastered the martial arts by channeling his chi, fights evil as the hero called Iron Fist. Select the Anti-Registration story to keep Iron Fist as a playable character for the whole game.

Alternate Costume: Many have worn the mantle of Iron Fist before Danny; Bei-Bang-Wen was the Iron Fist in the mid 19th century. Danny Rand’s predecessor is unlocked by killing 50 enemies while playing as Iron Fist in the Anti-Registration story.

Benjamin J. Grimm was transformed into the ever lovin’ blue-eyed Thing after being exposed to cosmic rays during a scientific expedition into space. The Thing is available after choosing between Pro and Anti-Registration, regardless of which storyline you decide to follow.

Alternate Costume: The Thing gets to cover up a little more with his alternate costume, based on his appearance in Ultimate Fantastic Four as drawn by Greg Land. Unlock this outfit by killing 50 enemies while playing as The Thing after deciding between the Pro or Anti-Registration causes, regardless of which path you choose to follow.

Remy LeBeau’s uses his mutant ability to charge objects with explosive kinetic energy as a member of the X-Men. Gambit is available after choosing between Pro and Anti-Registration, regardless of which storyline you decide to follow.

Alternate Costume: Gambit’s alternate appearance is inspired by the form he took on when took up the mantle of Death, Horseman of Apocalypse. Unlock this costume by defeating 50 enemies while playing as Gambit after deciding between the Pro or Ant-Registration causes, regardless of which path you take.

Carol Danvers, one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe, sides with Iron Man and the rest of superhuman community backing the Superhuman Registration Act. Select the Pro-Registration story line to keep Ms. Marvel as a playable character throughout the entire game.

Alternate Costume: This alternate take on Ms. Marvel hearkens to her appearance as Warbird, as designed by Mike Wieringo. Unlock this outfit by defeating 50 enemies while playing as Ms. Marvel in the Pro-Registration storyline.

Ororo Munroe, better known as the X-Man storm, controls the weather with her mutant ability. Storm is a playable character throughout the entire game, regardless of which side you choose.

Alternate Costume: Storm’s alternate outfit hearkens to the look she sports in Astonishing X-Men as drawn by Simone Bianchi. Unlock this costume by defeating 50 enemies while playing as Storm after having made the choice between Pro or Anti-Registration.

Melissa Gold, a reformed super villain with the incredible ability to create objects out of sound itself and member of the Thunderbolts, stands alongside Tony Stark and his fight to pass the Superhuman Registration Act. Select the Pro-Registration story to keep Songbird as a playable character for the game’s entirety.

Alternate Costume: Before taking the guise of Songbird, Melissa Gold was a professional wrestler known as Screaming Mimi, as designed by Patrick Zircher. Unlock this outfit by defeating 50 enemies after going down the Pro-Registration path.

Reed Richards, the genius that leads the Fantastic Four, sees the logic in Tony Stark’s reasoning to support the Superhuman Registration Act. Select the Pro-Registration story to keep Mr. Fantastic as a playable character for the entire game.

Alternate Costume: Mr. Fantastic’s alternate costume is inspired by his appearance in Ultimate Fantastic Four, as designed by Greg Land. Unlock this outfit by defeating 50 enemies after choosing the Pro-Registration storyline.

Sue Storm, wife to Mr. Fantastic and member of the Fantastic Four, defies all expectation and takes up the Anti-Registration Cause. Select the Anti-Registration storyline to retain the ability to play as the Invisible Woman.

Alternate Costume: Invisible Woman shows some skin in the costume inspired by Greg Land’s art in Ultimate Fantastic Four. Defeat 50 enemies while playing as the Invisible Woman after selecting the Anti-Registration story to unlock this outfit.

Brother to the Invisible Woman and member of the Fantastic Four, Johnny Storm sticks with the Anti-Registration cause. Select the Anti-Registration storyline to retain the ability to play as the Human Torch.

Alternate Outfit: Inspired by the Ultimate Fantastic Four version of Human Torch by Greg Land, Johnny takes on a more youthful appearance in his alternate outfit. Unlock this costume by defeating 50 enemies as after choosing the Anti-Registration story.

Mac Gargan, once known as Spider-Man’s nemesis The Scorpion, now wears the Venom symbiote as a member of ‘reformed’ super villain team The Thunderbolts. Gain the ability to play as Venom after encountering him in the game, regardless of which side you choose to take.

Alternate Outfit: Before Mac Gargan, Eddie Brock wore the symbiote known as Venom. This alternate outfit is inspired by Joe Madureira’s design used in The Ultimates vol. 3. Unlock this costume by killing 50 enemies while playing as Venom.

Norman Osborn has been making Spider-Man’s life miserable for years now as the insane Green Goblin. Gain the ability to play as the Green Goblin after encountering him in the game, no matter which side you chose.

Alternate Outfit: The Hobgoblin, a maniac that takes his cues from the Green Goblin, makes an appearance in the form of an alternate costume. Unlock this outfit by defeating 50 enemies while playing as Green Goblin.

After the catastrophe in Stamford, CT, Robbie Baldwin, once the free spirited member of The New Warriors known as Speedball, feels responsible, taking up the guise of Penance. Gain the ability to play as Penance after encountering him in the game, regardless of which side of the conflict you choose.

Alternate Costume: There’s still a man under the terrifying Penance armor, and this alternate outfit shows just how much punishment Robbie Baldwin has endured on his body. Unlock this costume by defeating 50 enemies while playing as Penance.

Wade Wilson, the wisecracking merc with a mouth, doesn’t really care who wins this civil war; he just wants to fight. Gain the ability to play as Penance after encountering in the game.

Alternate Costume: Deadpool’s ghoulish alternate outfit is inspired by his look in the Ultimate Marvel Universe as designed by Mark Bagley. Unlock this costume by defeating 50 enemies after choosing the Pro-Registration storyline.

One of the most powerful mutant telepaths in the world, Jean Grey is a force to be reckoned with. Unlock Jean Grey as a playable character by finding five M’Kran fragments scattered throughout the game’s maps.

Alternate Costume: Jean began her tenure as an X-Man while attending Professor Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. Her alternate outfit reflects her appearance in the X-Men: First Class series as designed by Roger Cruz. Unlock this costume by defeating 50 enemies while playing as Jean Grey.

The son of Asgardian god Odin, Thor wields his mighty hammer Mjolnir in his battle against evildoers. Unlock Thor as a playable character by collecting five Asgard fragments scattered throughout the game’s maps.

Alternate Costume: Thor’s current costume that appears in The Mighty Thor, as designed by Marko Djurdjevic is unlocked after defeating 50 enemies while playing as Thor.

When angered, Bruce Banner unleashes his rage and transforms into the Incredible Hulk. Unlock The Hulk as a playable character by collecting five Gamma Regulators which are hidden throughout the game.

Alternate Costume: Hulk has gone through several color changes, this time settling with red, as designed by Ed McGuinness. Unlock this alternative colorway by defeating 50 enemies while playing as The Hulk.

Leader of the Howling Commandos, Agent of Shield, those are just some of the titles that Nick Fury has held in his long history. After being taken over by the Fold, Fury becomes a monster with the abilities of many of the superhumans that populate the Marvel Universe. Unlock Nick Fury as a playable character after completing the game on either side of the SRA conflict.
