The ever-popular Plants vs. Zombies series is to span onto another platform, with it recently being announced by Sony Online Entertainment that it will make it’s debut on the Playstation Network this February. The game, developed and produced by PopCap Games – who are also responsible for massive hits such as Bejeweled and Peggle – has already featured on a multitude of different consoles.

Originally on the PC, Plants vs. Zombies has in recent times found it’s way to the iPhone, Nintendo DS and Xbox 360 where it has enjoyed plenty of success. Now it will become available to a new audience with it’s imminent release on the PSN.

The game, which sees you strategically battling against zombies with a variety of different plants and fungi, will no doubt be designed, and refined, specifically for the PSN and continue to provide the enthralling gameplay that has seen the series become the success that it is.
