Hello Sackthings were here today to get through World 3 The Factory of a Better Tomorrow.

Return to Top Level 1 Maximum Security

The grappling hooks are back for an encore performance in the Factory for a Better Tomorrow. As with Da Vinci’s World, make good use of both momentum and the springboards to reach new heights.

This level offers a nice introduction to Sackbot herding, which plays heavily into this world’s puzzles. Here you will you need to use the Grabinator to chuck a Sackbot at the button that lies out of reach to open the door. Keep a close on those Sackbots, because you will need to keep them all safe and sound to get all of the prizes at the end of the level!

It looks like you have to heave your Sackbots across the chasm to get them safely to the other side, but there’s an easier way. Cross yourself and pull the lever to lower the bridge and access the button that opens the next Sackbot cage. Just make sure that no one is standing in the middle island when you do so!

After going through a long series of tubes, quickly run right and chuck a Sackbot at the button on the wall. The door will open and a load of prize bubbles will come spilling out. This door is easy to miss, so don’t forget to check for it!

A x2 challenge lies not far beyond the tubes. To complete this one, you will need to pick up your partner and jump on the springboard. When you’re high enough, toss them up to the prize bubbles that were previously out of reach. Immediately after the challenge is the end of the level.

Return to Top Level 2 Pipe Dreams

As soon as you start the world, you will notice an open spot for a sticker. A Fist Sticker can be placed here, but you won’t obtain the fist until the end of Level 3. Head to your right and pull the lever to free the Sackbots.

While your Sackbots take a ride through the Factory’s plumbing, you will have to jump up several platforms to reach the next area. You will not only have to time it so that you’re avoiding the fire trap at the top, but that you’re not getting caught in the door as they shut. Wait until the doors start opening again before you try and jump on the springboard. Grab the three stickers to your left when you reach the top.

Shortly after the speech about the Factory’s origins, you will find a tube leading down through a fiery floor. Don’t just jump in at random though — try to time it so you jump in the left side while your partner jumps in the right. That will enable you to pick up the two stickers below. The end of the level lies at the end of a long drop.

Return to Top Level 3 Bang for Buck

Shortly after dodging out from underneath a flamethrower, you will find a bomb dispenser. Catch one of the bombs and chuck it at the barrier ahead to destroy it. A similar bomb dispenser lies just ahead.

After negotiating another set of flamethrowers, you will find another bomb dispenser. Before moving forward though, blow up the ceiling with a bomb for a shower of prize bubbles. Afterward, grab a bomb and duck into the alcove to safely blow up the next barrier.

Not long after riding a line of bombs along a conveyor belt, you can turn some of those pesky flamethrowers to your advantage. Let them take aim and fire while you stand on the bricks over the stickers, then leap away at the last moment. The flamethrowers will destroy the bricks and get you what you need.

The second part of the level has you assisting more Sackbots. Your first task is to get them safely across a spinning, electrified bridge. This can be accomplished by using the cage as leverage to make it to the room above the bridge and hitting the switch that stops the bridge. Hit the switch on the next Love Box to lure the Sackbots ahead.

A x2 challenge awaits in the area to the right of where the Sackbots are sucked into a tube. Stand in the alcove directly to the right of the Checkpoint Door while your partner stands in the alcove beyond that. Hit the switch in the first alcove, catch the bomb and toss it to your partner. They can then toss it over again and blow up the X2 wall for prizes. Make sure to blow up the alcove your partner is standing in because it has prizes as well!

You will need to ride a highly volatile bomb down a rail to get to the next area. Carefully maneuver past a machine with electrified arms and let go just as the bomb flies into an exploding barrier.

You will have to do some hustling to make it across the final area. The floor will explode under you as you run past numerous frightening facades. Jump in the tube and the level will be complete.

Return to Top Level 4 Waste Disposal

You will begin this level by first riding a conveyor belt, then dodging flaming debris. One of the trickier areas requires you to run into a alcove before a press can squash you, then use the press to reach the next area. Make sure you move fast!

This x2 challenge is straightforward, but can result in a quick and surprising death. Stand with your partner at the middle of the lift and wait until you see the buttons, then quickly run and hit them with your head. Rinse and repeat until four lights are activated and the prizes are released.

The trick to getting across this pit is to hold onto the cigar-like wooden rolls while the crane lifts you across. After you make it across, six more Sackbots will drop out of the tube and hang on for dear life. Use them to swing across the gaps and hit the switch to save them. The end of the level follows, and all nine Sackbots should be safe.

Return to Top Level 5 Fowl Play

The boss fight in Factory for a Better Tomorrow pits you against a robotic chicken named Copernicus. What follows is some tricky platforming, particularly if you want to get the stickers that lie on top of each platform. To reliably collect the stickers, either wait for the platforms to be destroyed or simply come back for them when you’re doing a second run. Through trial and error, you will eventually collect all of them.

There are no checkpoint doors, so you will have to stay focused on keeping a step ahead of Copericus to make it through alive. You have a grappling hook, so make good use of the momentum to stay ahead of the mechanized fowl.

Toward the end of the run, Copernicus will appear to plummet to his doom. Don’t relax yet though, because he will rise from the depth for one last attack! Keep ahead of the menacing machine and it will eventually be crushed for good. Try to get as far to the right as possible, because his death throes have a very good chance of taking you down with it!
