One logo, to link them all
The Legend of Zelda (ゼルダの伝説 Zeruda no Densetsu), occasionally called Legend of Zelda or simply Zelda, is a high fantasy action-adventure video game series created by Japanese game designers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. It was developed and published by Nintendo, with some portable installments outsourced to Flagship/Capcom and Vanpool. Considered one of Nintendo’s most important franchises, its gameplay consists of a mixture of action, adventure, and puzzle solving. The series centers on Link, the playable main character and protagonist. Link is often given the task of rescuing Princess Zelda in the most common setting of the series, Hyrule, from Ganon—also known as Ganondorf—who is the primary antagonist of the series. However, other settings and antagonists have appeared throughout the games, with Vaati having recently become the series’ secondary antagonist. The story commonly involves a relic known as the Triforce, which is a set of three omnipotent golden triangles. Link holds the Triforce of Courage, Zelda holds the Triforce of Wisdom, and Ganon holds the Triforce of Power. The protagonist in each game is usually not the same incarnation of Link, but a few exceptions do exist.
The series did basically everything a franchise can do, videogames, a tv series, tons and tons of merchandising and even special controllers, clothings and well…you know merchandising there’s basically no limits for it. Let’s focus in the games…

As you can see from the simple and really basic Farmicon Disk System to the cutting edge 3DS Zelda walked side by side with videogames since the very beginning. Just like Mario pretty much every person that you know that likes videogames will know about Link and if they didn’t actually played a game at least they’ll know what you’re talking about. This is truly an iconic character for Nintendo and it’s one of the main reasons to buy a new console for some people. This is one of the most jealously kept characters from Nintendo and with a good reason the series pretty much has everything every videogame or good story for that matter needs, a lovable and neutral main character that stands for everything that is fair and good, a princess that needs to be rescued and an evil dude that you will hate pretty much the entire title.
I remembered something…a few years back I had a Webcomic, and when I played Phantom Hourglass my first reaction was…Oh My God. The same reaction I had when I finished Ocarina of Time, so I did a small comic about it. And as a tribute to this awesome character I decided to share it with you guys, as a tribute to Link, the Zelda franchise and the people that made this character so alive, so lovable and so great. So to you my green clothing lover little elf! Happy 25th Birthday!!
So, this is it for the week, next week expect some HUGE news as there are some big things coming this way! Stay Tunned!!
@Greenmousa, OUT!
