EA, publisher of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, has announced that it will release three separate downloadable content packages over the next three weeks for the latest installment in the Need for Speed franchise. Each DLC will cost about 560 Microsoft Points for the Xbox 360 or 5.49 GBP on the PlayStation Network.

The first of the releases, having arrived yesterday on the 22nd of February, is called the “Armed and Dangerous Pack”. This DLC includes two new game modes: Most Wanted which is a nostalgic take on one of Hot Pursuit’s predecessors, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, wherein a specific racer gets chased by cops while the other racers must try to defend him or her; and Arms Race where street racers engage in a hardcore “Crash Team Racing”-type gameplay wherein they can use every single weapon in their arsenal to win the race. Three trophies and achievements are added to the game with this DLC.

The second DLC for Hot Pursuit will be released on the 1st of March and will add three new cars for cops and racers alike: the Lamborghini Diablo SV, the Countach LP5000 QV, as well as the Siesto Elemento. Ten new events, as well as four other trophies and achievements will be included in this downloadable package.

Last but not the least, the third DLC for Hot Pursuit will arrive on the 8th, is the Porsche Unleashed pack. Three new cars will be added for both racers and cops: the 911 Speedster, the 959, as well as the classic 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo. Another ten new events and four trophies and achievements will be added to the game as well.
