Eutechnyx and Activision have been working on a new NASCAR game called “NASCAR: The Game 2011″. It will be the first NASCAR game since the EA – NASCAR contract expired in 2010. The game is set to be released on the Wii, Ps3, and the XBOX360 featuring up to 16 person races online. All 23 Sprint Cup Series tracks will be included including the Kentucky Speedway which is set for races in July. The game will have multi-player as well as single player and the single player is shaping up to be the most realistic experience you can get from a NASCAR game. The single player is going to include a career mode where you can compete at every NASCAR race from the 2010 season and a Sprint Cup Series. The damage your car can receive will almost be life like. Debris will be spread throughout the track and you will even be able to go into the pit stop to refuel and have the NASCAR crews replace your tires. The game will feature damage caused by accidents on the track. Some types of the accidents include catapulting cars into the air and barrel-rolling over others. The AI in the game will simulate real-life drivers and give you a challenge. Another new feature in the game is a spotter. The spotter feature will inform the player of the drivers in the race that will assist them, such as bump drafting, blocking, and slingshot. It will also let you know of any hazards in front or behind you. The spotter can also let you know when your tires need repair, you need refueling, your standing in the race, the amount of laps left, and the point standings. Players can customize nearly everything including the HUD, decal, paint, sponsors, and the car’s number! Get ready to rev those engines and win some races as the game releases March 29th, 2011. Rated “E” for everyone.
