Brink has banked much of its success on the customization aspect. Characters, abilities and even style can all be customized. Today though we are focusing on the weapons. Like many of Brink’s multiplayer counterparts they offer attachments that can spiff up your gun in whichever way best suits your play style and character. Some of the attachments can be unlocked at the beginning of the game but others will be unlocked once challenges are completed or other in game objectives are done.

Return to Top Scopes

Scopes allow the user to zoom in when looking down the sights and give a better aiming tool usually in the form of a dot. Scopes also make your gun more powerful at longer range. They do seem to slow your player down and are treated as heavy, they also are very ineffective when needing to look down the sights at close range.

COGA Scope
A medium-sized scope that allows for a slight zoom.

Snoop-R Scope
A massive sniper scope that has the highest magnification setting possible.

Greeneye Scope
A miniature scope, presumably a mix between a red dot sight and a scope (reflex sight).

Return to Top Magazines

The Magazine Attachments in Brink will give you increased ammo capacity so you will not be reloading every 15 seconds when your one shot away from finishing someone off, (can you tell I have been there). This means you can go longer with out needing re supply from soldiers who are on the battlefield. Some Magazines will improve your reload time while others only give you more ammunition. No matter what all the magazine attachments will increase the reload time.

High-Capacity Magazine
A larger magazine that increases ammo count per magazine by one-half of a standard magazine’s count.

Duct-Taped Magazine
Although these magazines provide no ammunition count increase, two magazines duct-taped together provide
a faster reload speed for every other reload.

Drum Magazine
A massive ammunition magazine that contains double the ammunition count of a standard magazine in one large casing.

Return to Top Silencers

Silencers will reduce both damage and range when attached to a weapon, but in return your weapon will have decreased sound when firing and muzzle flash making you more incognito. When you are using a silencer you will not appear on the enemy’s mini map.

Soda Can Silencer/ArkTactical Silencer
Two silencers available to the Resistance and the Security, respectively, through The Psycho pre-order pack.
It is also possible to unlock a Silencer by completing the Challenges.

Return to Top Muzzle Breaks

The Vented Muzzle Breaks in Brink will reduce your weapons damage but will also reduce the recoil which means your weapon will not be bouncing around like crazy when firing which can prove very valuable when firing from the hip in close combat.

Six-Vent Muzzle Break
A muzzle brake that simply gives a different flash than the four vent muzzle brake.

Four-Vent Muzzle Break
A simple muzzle brake that slightly reduces recoil.

Return to Top Under Barrel

These attachments refer to objects being attached literally to the under side of your weapons barrel. They do various different things.

Front Grip
Increases the gun’s stability which reduces the sway when aiming.

Underslung Grenade Launcher
Adds a grenade launcher, presumably only for assault rifles.

Speed Sling
Improves a Weapon’s draw time.

Return to Top Sights

The sight is the object that is fixed to the top of the barrel that you look down when aiming. Different sights will help with your targeting in different ways.

Adjusted Iron Sights
This upgrade improves the standard iron sights for easier use without increased weight.

YeoTek Red Dot Sight
An improved red dot sight in the shape of a square.

D-Flex Red Dot Sight
A simple sight with an arch shaped aperture and a dot in the middle.

C-U-Gone Red Dot Sight
A circular sight with a dot in the middle.
