The Search for Survivors is the second quest in Dungeon Siege 3.

Once you leave the Chapterhouse, you will cross the bridge and turn right. There is a basement to explore but you will need to hold off on checking it out for now, there are some spiders down there and they are not friendly (trust me they are tricky I’m not just afraid of spiders). You will have a few rushes of soldiers throughout the journey, you should snipe as many of them down as you can then switch to your close range attacks. If you get caught in a mob of enemies use your stun and get away from the crowds and use defensive magic to recover. Steer clear of walls as the camera can get kinda dodgy in tight spaces. Be sure to keep on the lookout for chests hidden away in the corners of the path.

When you have a little time in Raven’s Rill there are some things you need to do before you head off. First visit the store and sell any duplicate items you may have, also pick up some decent weapons . Next find Alexei, he will tell you about his sister Leona who is waiting in a cave just outside of town.

Head up the west road but be on the lookout for soldiers. Once you reach the twin torches that are marking a trail branching off to the right be on guard. A large group of soldiers are coming up. retreat away from the gate to a clearing and defeat them, now go back through. Some Witches will appear off in the distance, take them down in whatever manner you want but be quick you cannot allow them to start casting spells. Now head into the cave.

You will meet Leona and she will tell you about the Witches that are living below. Head on down the winding path explore every branch and make use of the save points. Be sure to get the treasure that is in the dead ends that are not visible on the map.

Later on you will encounter Vera and ask her what magic she is using. Once the cut scene is over dive backwards cause she will summon a horde of baddies to rush you and staying put will leave you dead in seconds (hence the savepoints). Take down her minions by using stun attacks they work well. Next hit Vera with some power attacks, she will summon some more help but back them into a bottleneck, dispatch them and get back on her.

Nearby you will find two prisoners, Anjali will join you. Go find the treasure that is near the opened exit. Down here you will also encounter Leona and her brother, take her up on her offer to clear out the manor and she will have a gift for you.
