This guide will walk you through the ‘Get to the Mining Colony’ level in Red Faction: Armageddon. Let’s get started!

Move towards the underground stream wherein you are headed for the mining colony. Trace the waypoint going up the bumpy ramp. It is headed to a tunnel blocked by fire. There is a bridge that you can cross and as you get near a set of stairs, you will be stunned by an explosion. As you move into the ruins of a shattered colony, utilize Repair to fix the steps leading to it. As you move, pause to grab a rocket launcher. This weapon will prove to be very useful in the succeeding area. The grenades are best to be placed remotely as traps and be detonated at the right moment. Utilize the grenade launcher at medium range to attack enemy infested buildings.

At the colony square, you will be warned about the attacking aliens. Be prepared for the task but you have the option to upgrade at the upgrade station. Engage the incoming aliens that are coming from all sides. Search for ammunition from the structures. Use the grenade launcher to blast the enemies and the Magnet Gun to throw large pieces of the structures at the enemies.

After dominating the aliens, you now have to find the signal. Trace the waypoint leading to a dead body within the colony square. It is the right time to join the convoy to Bastion so trace the waypoint leading to tunnels out of the colony. Be alert inside the tunnel. Anticipate the attack of a swarm of creepers and eliminate them. After you get out of the tunnel, you will get another objective.

Be prepared to demolish the enormous alien structure. When aliens spawn, they build shields for fellow aliens nearby. These shields are tougher than you think so prepare for a tough job. Even a number of shots from Plasma Cannons, rockets, and grenades will not destroy them. The best weapon to make them crumble is the Magnet Gun. Make large pieces of concrete and explosive barrels slam right into the alien shields. This will destabilize and make them fall.

After the demolition of the alien shield-generators, focus on the Ravagers that are creeping at you and taking potshots. Take them out as fast as you can. After the initial batch is annihilated, more will spawn and a third wave will follow. When the room is cleared at last, push the switch to activate the elevator and eventually finish this area.
