This guide will walk you through the ‘Protect the Red Faction’ level in Red Faction: Armageddon. Let’s get started!

Your mission is to protect the Red Faction. Your position is being overwhelmed by a huge group of ravagers. Fight with the allies and keep shooting at the enemies. More will keep coming so stay with the allies. Evade the remaining ravagers by running down to the valley to look for alien pods. You will encounter a new monster whose tentacles throw large chunks of debris to Darius. Keep out of melee range and dodge the debris in order to avoid the attack.

The monster’s tentacles can be shattered using the Magnet Gun or any heavy armament. They are also being surrounded by three alien pods with spawning creepers. Another pod is at the left of an infected building just after the tentacles. As if these are not enough, a couple of pods are also attached to the roof with alien crud. Near the rock wall, another tentacle will suddenly appear. A berserker will attack while another tentacle appears from the ground across the street.

Moving up the high road, there is a pod on the ledge. To the left of the road, another tentacle will appear and the last pod is at the top of the hill. Giant creepers will also come out to ambush you. There are plenty of enemies in this area so be tenacious to fight them to also eliminate the pods. If they surround you, rush back to the road and engage the tentacle from a distance.

After successfully destroying the enemies and the pods, get back to the Red Faction. A behemoth will block your way and attack you. Shoot at it while retreating back to the hill. Use the berserk for this kind of enemy. After this, an alien shield structure with two tentacles will also block your way. Eliminate them and run back to the Red Faction camp perimeter. Your allies have unpacked an Exo-Suit. Use it to mow down on the remaining aliens, group of ravagers, and some tentacles. Eliminating them will complete the mission. The aliens will stop so hold to the prompted button to complete the objective.
