Point Man and Fettel end up in the middle of the suburbs as the situation is getting much worse. They must go through here towards the direction of the city while being hunted down by Armacham personnel. You will learn that the fastest way through the suburbs is through the houses and not around them. As Fettel says to you, it’s play time.
At the start of this level, run left and kill those guards as you proceed to the open garage by the military truck. Grab some ammo as the door closes, then break in the house through the wooden door. Go up to the second floor and look for a hole in the wall in the kitchen. Proceed to the third floor and enter the torn-up room to the right and get the assault rifle, then go back down to the to the second room and psychic link with the corpse there.
You should then get back to the ground level, where there are more guards. Once you’ve dispatched them, perform two psychic links with the the corpse near the crate and another one right by the fence that’s on fire. You will then have to go around this fence, at which there are more guards in your way. You’ll find yet another corpse to psychic link with near a barrel that’s also on fire.
There should be a toppled section of fence on which you can climb over, then go into the house through a broken part of the wall and exit it through the other broken wall. More enemies will try to take you down beyond that broken wall. As you traverse through backyards and turn adversaries into dead bodies, you will then come across a fence with a wonky table nearby. Step up the table and climb over the fence to get into a backyard with a gazebo.
As you’re going through waves of guards, you will encounter a mech. This thing will be very difficult to destroy, so take cover behind generators and keep your head down as you throw grenades at it. Once you do destroy it, you may then get out of there through that new hole in the fence to enter yet another house through another hole in the wall. There should be another dead body that you can psychic link with by the staircase. Go into the hole and psychic link with another corpse. Afterwards, proceed to go upstairs and reach the kitchen further up.
The door on the very right leads to a room with a corpse by a bed that you can psychic link with. The other door in the room leads you to a collectible Alma Doll. Get out of this room and break down the door on the other side and enter the hole in the wall. After a crawler passes by, you will have to deal with two zombies ahead. You can then go through the next door, then go into the room on the right, where you’ll kill two more zombies and psychic link with another corpse. You may then proceed downstairs.
When you reach the kitchen, go around and crawl into another hole in the wall, where there will be yet two more zombies. When they’re down, psychic link with the corpse in the kitchen and then go up to the next floor. A door will open up as you approach, so go in and cross the plywood bridge, then get down to the lower floor. There are more zombies ahead, as well as a path to the basement. This area has holes on the walls from which zombies with bad intentions will come in, and you will then have to face hordes of them charging towards you.
After a while, the crawler you’ve been seeing sporadically will teleport you to a playground of horrors. Go to the merry-go-round for a creepy cutscene. When that’s over, you will have to fight a whole battalion of enemy guards, so get ready. Once you’re the last man standing, psychic link with the dead body by the generators, another one in the monitor room, and another one behind the generator and the broken floodlight.
Go into the other monitor room where guards were shooting you from and take the stairs to the next floor. There’s a corpse that you can psychic link with. You should then get out of the house and hop your way towards the next lot, where you’ll find in good fortune a mech that you can commandeer. Once you’ve taken control of the beast, blow the garage door open and proceed to show those guards who’s boss. You may smash through damaged walls as you move along. You will then encounter another mech, which you must destroy in order to survive.
As you get out of that house, you should then walk along the path and get to the grounded chopper. As you walk past it, you’ll be taken back into that weird place. As you walk along the path, you’ll come across twin beds with a child version of Fettel. Approach the kid to put that sequence to an end and get back to reality. Once you’ve returned to the world of consciousness, ready your weapons and kill those guards. When you’re at the power relay station, walk through the fence and get out of the mech to jump over the fence to the other side.
Once you’ve taken out the guards in this area, you’ll have to traverse this electrical maze to get out without getting shocked. Go into the building with guns blazing, eliminating everyone in your way. When you’re in the garage, open the door by pressing the green button and prepare yourself for an epic gun battle. Somehow, a Frankenstein thing occurs with the guards being resurrected by electricity. You will have to destroy the six drums that channels this electricity. Do so by shooting one when it starts glowing with energy.
Once you’re done with that convoluted mess, go downstairs and approach the location where those tubes were to end this interval and you finally meet up with Jin Sun-Kwon.
