We’ve found many bits and pieces of information on the subject of the upcoming release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and we’re here to share all of them with you.
First off, there’s some information on the world itself. There is going to be over 120 dungeons to explore in Skyrim. That’s a LOT more than Oblivion(the previous installment) had. That’s not to mention that there’s also over 100 other points of interest. That really gives you a sense of just how large the world of Skyrim actually is.
Another thing we know is that there will be perks in Skyrim. Instead of determining your path when you create your character, you make your path as you go along. As you level up, you get to choose perks that will define your character at increasingly deeper levels. There are over 280 perks in Skyrim. So there shouldn’t be any boredom from having to go down the path you chose at the beginning.
The last thing we’ll talk about here is the engine that runs Skyrim. Instead of running on three different engines, like Oblivion did, there is one very high-powered and well-made engine that runs the whole game. It’s called the Creation Engine. This engine is top-of-the-line. The graphics were revamped so much that the game has reinvented how RPGs look. It renders so well that there’s miles of draw distance. And the engine is stitched together so well that the game runs seamlessly in a way that there are the fewest amount of loading screens possible.
No matter how deeply you go into it, there’s no evidence that Skyrim will disappoint. It is sure to be one of the greatest games published this year, and maybe of all time.
