Online players of NHL 11, one of the top online hockey games available, would surely need a good strategy in order to win against their online competition? One of the good strategies that a player should consider is the use of line chemistry. This strategy appears to be overlooked, but chemistry sure gives a lot of value to an NHL 11 game when it is utilized well.

What is chemistry and what does it do in NHL 11?
Chemistry refers to the rating of a player’s familiarity with his linemates, and it gives the NHL 11 player a noticeable boost in many aspects of this top online hockey game. Chemistry seems to be overlooked by most of the HUT teams online, but it is important, especially in passing. Passing is one of the hard things to get used to in NHL, and this can be improved a lot if you build your chemistry. The passing success rate usually goes up by 10% once you get all your lines chemistry to over 90 points.

How is chemistry created in NHL 11?
Here are the combinations that you can use in order of best to worst chemistry:
- 3 same team linemates
- 2 same team linemates, plus one from same league
- 3 same league players
- 2 same league players, plus one from same locale
- 3 same locale players
- 2 same locale players, plus one from different locale
You should try to put the players in the position where they are supposed to play. Make sure you’re your players are mixed up well according to their player types. These combinations only apply to 4 offensive lines and 3 defensive pairs. Therefore, having powerplay, goalies, and penalty kill lines would have no bearing on your overall team’s chemistry.

Chemistry is really very valuable in NHL 11. The best thing you can do is to try playing around with different lines. One player commented that he used to play with the demo’s Zetterberg + Malkin + Perry line, but he now prefers the performance of the Ducks’ Blake + Koivu + Lupul.
