Dragon Age 3 Announced….
There have been some rumors about this but nothing official was ever confirmed. Mark Darrah, the executive producer of the dragon age titles has confirmed the news on the blog – http://eu.dragonage.com/dragonageii/extra/?id=16010&lang=en
Dragon Age 3 has been in development for the best part of 2 years now and Mark assures us that all the customer feedback they got from Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2 has been taken in consideration and also that they will make sure they hit all the right notes properly this time. Even after the announcement, nothing solid has been shown yet – like a screenshot or a trailer so we still need to wait for a long time to see the results of their work.
The game will be titled – “DRAGON AGE III: Inquisition” and no storyline has been given to the public just yet but from the title we can guess that there’s probably a higher authority which is oppressing the civilians and a hero arises or something like that – pretty typical but there’s obviously a lot more to that.
Bioware has added some new talent to their team of developers and are working on a new gaming engine. The engine they are working on probably has been developed from DICE’s Frostbite 2.
That’s about all the news we have now but do look forward to more from Bioware on this topic – the game will probably pick up after a few months from now since it’s still in it’s early stages where things might take a drastic turn in the events which is probably why Mark doesn’t want to give out details or promises other than the fact that the game is going to come out.
Assassins Creed 3 – Naval Warfare
Master and Commander…. that’s what you’re gonna be – in total command of the vessel’s navigation and gunnery. Then there’s the Dynamic Weather System – the weather in the game is not fixed and the calm seas can turn into raging death traps with high waves and difficult navigation. The weather system is not just for show as you will need to take in account all the factors involved like wave height to be able to make a proper shot at the enemy.
To induce further variety in the gameplay, there are different kinds of mission involving naval combat and different kids of ammo for the cannons you have onboard. The mission might involve just making your way thru enemy minefields or destroying enemy ships or even boarding them to assassinate a Templar. The main goal here was to deliver epic battles and by what you can see from the trailer – that does seem to be the case.
One point I’d like to note here is that the graphics are probably not that good but since this is not the final version of the game (you can believe that it’s gonna get better) we are probably going to see better sights. The gameplay reveals made by Ubisoft are getting better by each day so you can just relax and wait for the game to come out.
