FIFA 14 [Guide]

FIFA 14
Sep
29
2013

FIFA 14 is the latest entry in the long running EA Sports FIFA Soccer franchise.
It is available for the following platforms:

Android
iOS
Nintendo 3DS
Nintendo Wii
PC
PlayStation 2
PlayStation 3
PlayStaton Portable
PlayStation Vita
Xbox 360

This guide was created using the Xbox 360 version of the game. Much of the
content is universal across all platforms, however, especially with the PS3.
Obviously, there is more in common with the PS3 and 360 versions of the game
because they are the most technically advanced versions of the game available
as of the time of this writing.

There are numerous teams in the sport of futbol (it will be referred to as
“soccer” for the rest of this guide, however) from a variety of different
countries around the world.

As you go through the different game modes, you will have the opportunity to
play on these different teams. The following is a list of every team available
in the game as well as their overall rating and their default formations.

The first number next to the team is their overall rating. The numbers after
the “/” is their team formation.

The main game mode in FIFA 14 is Career. It is here the players start their in-
game career as either a created player or a real-life player. You can also
choose to start a career as a manager.

While playing career, you can play matches, manage e-mails and squads, and
simulate the matches as well.

seasons can be played one on one with various other players throughout the
season, or there is even co-op.

For co-op, players can team up with a friend online or play with someone on
the same console and take the game online to play other players 2v2.

A variety of mini-games designed to improve your basic skills within the game.

In these mini-games, each medal is its own level. So for example, in the first
Skill Game, “Ground Pass”, the Bronze level goal is to reach 5,000 points. Then
the Silver level goal is to reach 4,000 points. They are different variations
on the same concept. You have to earn all the points in one level in order to
proceed to the next one.

FIFA 14 features a variety of online modes and online integration.

Players are able to partake in the following activities online:
EA Sports Arena
Head to Head
Pro Clubs
Seasons
Tournaments

The progress of your friends in the various game modes as well as their high
scores in the Skill Games are constantly recorded and accessible through the
various leaderboards.

For the Sony versions of the game, these are known as “Trophies” instead of
achievements. The only differences are that there are Bronze, Silver, Gold, and
Platinum trophy levels instead of just numeric values like the Xbox 360 version
of the game.

9. Future
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
At the top of this guide, I listed the platforms that FIFA 14 are available on.
Come November 15th and November 22nd, two more platforms will be added to that long list:

Xbox One
PlayStation 4

The next-gen versions of FIFA 14 will bring with them some differences than
the current-gen versions of the game that this guide is based on. However,
the core gameplay experience will remain the same, and all the information
and stats listed throughout this guide.

The main difference will be the use of the Ignite Engine. EA Sports is using
this engine for all of its next-gen sports games, including FIFA.

In FIFA 14, the Ignite Engine will bring with it the following improvements:

-Graphical upgrades
-Realistic AI
-Realistic player movement
-Realistic weather effects
-Realistic crowd reactions

On Xbox One, there will be some exclusive FIFA 14 features, making the Xbox
One version of the game most complete one. These exclusive features will be through the Ultimate Team mode, with Xbox One players having access to “classic” soccer players.
