| To decorate your house with custom artwork, 1st your sim must have a creativity level of 5 and be able to paint a still life. Have your sim paint and a frame will appear that you can center on whatever you want to paint. If you want to paint a picture of something outside the Sims 2 game, just press C anywhere at this time. This will pause the game. Use Alt + Tab to exit the game, then open a picture program such as Paint and open the snapshot you just took, it will usually be in the folder: C:My DocumentsEASims2StorytellingSnapshot.bmp Now, you also have to open the picture you want to have in your game. If your picture is too large resize it so it will fit in the original snapshot from the game. Copy your custom picture on to your snapshot from the game, then save the picture. The trick is that if you go to the face designing area and you select a face part such as the eyes and max out all the sliders one way or the other, then go to a different face part and select one of the PREDESIGNED parts, and then come back to the eyes, the sliders will have reset in the middle, but the eyes will still look the same. This works for all of the face adjusting tabs. Exploiting this, you can make eyes the size of dinner plates, cheekbones 4 feet long, and a HUMUNGOUS nose, to name a few. | ||

(All codes are real, and will work if entered correctly.) Making Money -- The basics Obviously, you need money in the game, to buy things and have more fun. Here are some tips (and cheats) to keep your sims happy with their income. First, make sure your sim has a job. Their are two ways to get a job-- One by checking the job adds on the daily newspaper, and the other checking for available jobs on the computer. Remember, jobs change, so if you're not happy with anything that's there, you can try again tomorrow. Also, Sims get promoted for more money if they do well. They will get chance cards, and you must choose an answer, your Sims fate resting in the balance. A good choice will likely promote your sim - a bad one demote it. So try and think hard! Now, since your Sim has a job, and should be making a good daily income, we need to focus on the family's cost. Are their kids? Is a sim pregnant? How many family members are there? Do they have a big or small house? All this adds up to the amount of money you'll need to make. Now, once you've figured out about how much you'll need to make, it's time for some cheap tips, tricks and secrets. Tips, Tricks, & Secrets of making money Okay, onto the fun part. These are tips and tricks you can use to avoid having to pay up. Free Books Have a sim go and buy a bookcase. Then, get your sim to get a book. As soon as their reading, delete the bookcase and you have a FREE book. Nanny FAQ Most people don't need nannies. Actually, they're very annoying and are difficult to get to leave your house. So... Basically, if you HAVE to go out to a community lot, then get another sim to babysit. Nannies are expensive and usually unecessary. So, consider your options if you have more than one sim. It also helps bonding between adult and child. I suggest not to get nannies. Training your pet & how to get an easy to train pet So, you have a loud, noisy dog, who will NOT listen to your sim. Hmm...time for the obedience trainer? Well... If you want to make training speed by, create a smart pet, and make it "finicky." These pets are incredibly easy to train, and will save you time, therefore eliminating the need of a trainer. Remember, you don't need to train all at once. Train a trick per day, and do part of the training in the morning, afternoon, and night. Money Cheats Before using these, remember, it's fun to use strategy, not just codes, to play. Use these, but keep the other tips in mind, to play the best you can. To bring up the cheat window, ctrl, shift, c. You'll get a little pop-up window at the top of the screen.
