During a game, press pause. Then Hold down L! and press Square, Circle, Up, Down, Cross, Square. If the code was entered correctly, you will hear a gun shot.

Resume the game after losing a life. Now, pause game play, hold L1 and press Square, Circle, Cross. The sound of a gun will confirm correct code entry.
