| If you go to a question mark and see a blue dot flash (top screen), it a dog, if not it's a present. NOTE: the flashing dot is almost always there. Another way is by your dog's bark. If it barks once, its usually a gift. If it barks twice, it's a dog. Find out if there is garbage or a present on the floor during a walk To find out if garbage or a present is approaching during one of your walks, look at the top screen. There should be the little dog symbol on the path that you drew. If that dog symbol stops and your dog is still walking, this indicates that either garbage or a present is coming up on the floor. If it is a present, tug your dog to a stop and your dog will notice it. It will pick it up and bring it over to you. It is easier to do this when your dog is running. | ||

| While you can purchase new toys for your pup to play with, you can actually get some goodies for free if you know where to look. When you take your Nintendog on a walk, outline a path that goes by the blue "?" boxes marked on the map. Your puppy is likely to run off screen at those points and come back with a present for you! Your puppy will also randomly run to get presents for you if you leave the game on the "Home" screen for long. If left unattended, your Nintendog will leave the apartment and stay off screen. Simply tap on the center button (the circular one) to whistle and call back your pup who should be carrying a new present. | ||

This doesn't work all the time, but seven out of ten of the times it does. Right before approaching a gift, press B as many times as possible. It really gets you an awesome gift. No more bubble blowers or priceless items! Last time I tried the trick, I got a Bowser Cart! | ||

Then you pet his head and flick your stylus up instead of down. (Down will make him sit.) He should jump up like a lion on his two hind legs!!! It's rad dude!! (LOL) | ||

| Once you have used up all your walks and 3 contest entries turn the ds off and then turn it back on and go to settings and change the time/date and then the ds will think its a new day and let you have 3 new entries. This works a few times but then doesn't work after a while. Hope it helps ! | ||
