Also, bring along extensions of traps and bombs and don't forget potions. well, first you need to unlock the training school and do all of the quests that was in the training school, and if you're a low level, you can also ask somebody else to do this. so, this is how you do it. while you want to buy a weapon that you like, you must know what it requires to make it. but you must unlock and finish one type of monster(but all weapon choices)cleared. now that you have enough money, go buy and go! but if you choose a weapon that needs a monster parts, I reccomend you to bring bombs, and pitfall trap and now, I am still a 4 star player, so I don't have some average weapon except poison battleaxe. and if you need ores, you can go to kokoto farm or swamp for alternative way to get it. well, this hint also quick for getting kokoto points. | ||

| Take out all the potions and rations. It is also recommended to bring some well done steaks. Go to Area 2 and kill every Velocoprey that jumps in there. This may take awhile and require some potions. After you kill them, go to Area 3 then to Area 4. You will see a scene where the Ratholos swoops in. As soon as it quits, crouch down by pressing X. After that, walk slowly behind the nearest big rock and try to watch the Ratholos, but make sure he cannot see you. If done correctly and you keep out of his sight, he will fly off. Stand up and run for Area 5. When you get there, kill all the Velocoprey. There should only be 4 of them. An intermission sequence will show you where the nest is located. Once the Velocoprey are dead, go up to the nest. Do not get the egg yet. Instead, eat all you rations or well done steaks. Search the nest to find the egg. *** Watch your stamina; if it goes all the way down you will break the egg. Also, if you are attacked or try to use an item the egg will fall and break. You should now have an easy way back to camp. Go to Area 4 then Area 3. Be careful, as Ratholos may be in any of these areas at any time. If you see him, run back to the previous area and wait for him to leave. Sometimes if you go back to Area 2 after the Velocoprey are killed, there will be one straggler. However, most of the time if you killed them all before you should be safe. Just watch out for the Vesipod. From Area 2 go to Area 1. Then go to the camp. Once there, do everything you can (mining, fishing, etc.), then leave and sell the items you obtained. Now, go to the wise person but do not chat to him. Instead, look behind him. You will see a house. Try going in the offline hall. When you get there, you will see lots of things. Chat to the girl with the red dress in between the wise old man and the girl in the blue dress, and she will give you a list of quests. Go to the top and choose the easiest level. One of the missions will be a gathering mission, but nothing for you to gather. Choose it and start the quest. Go to the supply box and get Paw Print out of it. Deliver it to the other box and you will have completed the quest. Once you are back in town, go to the Koto farm and get more items. Sell them and repeat the process again. This is an easy way to make money, and is also a good way to help renovate the Koto farm. Complete all Level 1 quests. Now, select the last mission. You will need 200Z for the mission fee and one or 2 picks. Start the mission and get the supplies and eat the meat to get more resistance. Follow this route 2 to 5. If you find an Gendrome here, kill it. Now, go 10 to 11. On 11 you will need to mine to get the crystal. Now, return from the same route. From 10 run straight to 5. Run in zigzags to 2 (walk or run). There is nothing here that can attack you (except for the Gendrome sometimes). At 1, deliver the crystal and you will get the 3000Z and 200 multiplied by 2Z of the fee. At the start of the game, chat to the chief and get money. Now, chat to the man and go to Kokoto farm. Complete the Level 1 quests and the "A Formidable Velocidrome" quest. Now, get a Bonekris or Bonepick (recommended) . Upgrade it to Bonespike and repeatedly kill Velocidromes. Make sure you also kill lots of Velocipreys. Carve up everything you killed. When you are back in the village, sell all the items you have then go to the farm. Get everything and sell it. The quest alone results in 1100Z for doing it with one life. This is also a good way to get points to renovate the farm, and the Bonespike can kill a Velocidrome in a little under 10 hits. Do the "Gathering" quest for Forest/Hills, where you just have to deliver the Paw Pass ticket in the supply box. In the supply box, grab your map and your Paw Pass Ticket. Go to Area 2 and search around the 1st rock you see on the left when entering from Area 1. You will get either a Kut-Ku Scale or a Paintberry. Just sell the Kut-Ku Scales for easy money. Do the "Gathering" quest for Swamp in the Four Star guild quests, where you just have to deliver the Paw Pass Ticket in the supply box. Bring pickaxes, and if you are bringing Iron, bring 4 because they will constantly keep breaking. To get good money, enter all the caves and mine all the areas. You can get ores such as Dragonite, Union, Machalite, etc. Sell them or keep them for smithing. | ||

(You do not need to trade with the old man at all) 3: Once you have all the mushrooms, Just wait there. Just stand there until time runs out. And once time is up, It will say that you've won. ---------------- But, There is a catch. The next time you do this quest, you have to fight the Garuga. ---------------- Just go to Sc. 7, get all the mushrooms, then go find the Garuga. (once you get the mushrooms, it will have only 1/3 of it's life) Now, I dont know how you prefer to kill it, But I bring along a PIT FALL TRAP, a FLASH BOMB, and a couple of LRG. and SMALL BARRELL BOMBS. F.Y.I: You need to do each of these right after the other. (After you wait it out, you gotta fight it, then wait there, then fight it, ext.) P.S: I highly recomend this quest to get money. | Kill LOS/IAN like a pro with GS | 33% | |
| RATHALOS: Whenever he flies and shoots fireballs unsheath your GS and go close to his shadow. When he finishes shooting look at the top of your screen and wait for some parts of his body (usually the wings) to show up then begin charging for x3. By the time he lands your charging should be complete and smack the hell out of him. Timing is important! If it seems that you won't complete the 3 charges then 2 charges is already good. After hitting roll out then wait again when he flies. Note that when he is in rage mode you can skip waiting for his body parts before starting the charge, you can start charging once he finishes shooting fireballs. RATHIAN: Just run around her in circles until she shoots fireballs then charge. If you can't complete 3 charges 1-2 is also good then roll out and repeat. When she shoots 3 fireballs you better not waste it and complete that 3 charges! You can also wait for her to run and trip to the ground, be sure to evade her (by running and not jumping/rolling, it will waste time) then charge. She will always turn around you (as long as you charged at her from behind) after she falls and stands up. You can also charge when she backflips, just be sure to charge from behind, charging at the front and sides will hurt you when she lands (you'll be hit by her feet). This technique is applicable to all rathian (green, pink, gold) and rathalos (red, azure, silver) variants and rank (low and G). Using this technique you will likely break their head and wings for greater rewards! As for the tail, you can use flash bombs and traps, cutting it with GS is also easy. Just use the [TRI] {the unsheath attack) then followed by [TRI]+[CIR] (the backslash attack) then repeat. | ||
