New cheats are added almost daily.Use Windows Explorer to enter the game directory and create a copy of the "windows.fit" file and name it as "ixtlriimceourl". *** The file must be renamed "buymechcommander.2" in earlier versions of the game. Copy and rename "windows.fit" so both filenames are present if the game's patch status is unknown. Now, enter one of the following codes at the listed screen to activate the listed cheat function. A sound will confirm correct code entry. *** Repeated use of some of the codes may crash the game.

MechCommander features you as a commander in the BattleTech universe during a strong counterinvasion against the Clans. Instead of being coached inside the cockpit of your 'mech, you'll be in a command post, directing the battle remotely. The battles will take place in realistic 3D terrain and, unlike many real-time strategy games, your 'mechs will not be throwaway units. Pilots improve their skill over time; dead 'mechs are salvageable; and you have limited, but replenishable ammunition.
