Medal of Honor: Warfighter [ Review ]
One 'Mile High Club' level away from being plagiarism
We've seen it all before. Helicopter turret sequences. Buildings crumbling in giant set-pieces. Sniping enemies from afar and having to take into account wind and bullet fall and the like. Timed tutorial obstacle courses. "Follow Me" simulators. These things used to be exciting gameplay innovations. Hell, even "Follow Me" was subtle enough that I didn't even realize it until the later Call of Duty games. Now these elements are boring cliches. Medal of Honor: Warfighter takes all these boring cliches, smashes them together, and calls itself a video game.
After playing through Medal [...More

That time of the year, the flowers bloom, babies cry, and the same 4 companies start pulling warfare shooters out of everywhere. Today it's the turn for Medal Of Honor, yeah, that's the name, Medal of Honor same one used on the first title back in the day.

Medal of Honor Renames Taliban Faction to Opposing Force
Medal of Honor has been taking a lot of heat for months now from Politicians, families of soldiers and numerous other parties, (ironically not actual soldiers themselves) over the decision to allow players the ability to play as the Taliban in its upcoming modern day military shooter. First EA announced the game would not be for sale in retailers on military bases, now weeks before release EA has announced that they will change the name of the enemy faction in the game from 'Taliban' to 'Opposing Force'. Executive Producer Greg Goodrich had this to say, "We are making this change [...More
Medal of Honor Pulled from Bases
In honor of the families of US Military Men and Women, EA has pulled the upcoming title from Military Base Gamestop Stores. This comes in response to complaints that playing as Taliban Soldiers is "Un-Patriotic" and a "disgrace to service men and women."
"Out of respect to those we serve, we will not be stocking this game," said AAFES Commander Maj. Gen. Bruce Casella in a statement.
All pre-ordered games from current [...More
Medal of Honor
The year 1999 saw the beginning of the Medal of Honor franchise, starting on the Playstation. Now more than a decade later the name has been somewhat forgotten in a highly saturated genre of the videogame industry, but it's about to make a stunning comeback in a title yet again named simply, Medal of Honor.
The most popular game of 2009 was arguably Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, who's development studio was setup by former developers behind some of the Medal of Honor series. Those developers that were left behind are now looking to hit-back with the re-jigged Medal of [...More
Nano Assault EX [ Review ]
Nano Assault EX is the successor of the highly successful Nano Assault Neo for the Wii U. This title takes players into a Fantastic Voyage-esque adventure as they play the part of a nanomachine tasked with destroying the Nanostray virus within several levels of non-stop action. The game pretty much plays the same way as its predecessor, albeit making the Nintendo 3DS its new home.
While some players might find it illogical that a twin stick shooter is being ported into a device with one stick, controls really are not that difficult within the 3DS. Shin’en, the developers behind Nano Assault [...More
Droid Assault [ Review ]
This game has existed in Flash for quite a while, but it has now been released in Steam as a full title, and that's a good thing. Droid Assault is an action arcade game by Puppy Games that lets you destroy or reprogram hostile droids. It's a simple concept that gets complex as you play more, which is a ticket to some compelling gameplay.
You are up against OmniCorp, whose droids are as wild and free as the deviant corporation wants them to be. The mission is to take them out, but you can't just do it alone. [...More
