| When you've finished the missions or are just not in the mood for following orders, have a look around for items(the blue dots). This is useful, as it unlocks safehouses so when you die you do not have to walk/ drive/ fly/ swim miles to get to where you were. Also the blue dots are virtually everywhere (when you have collected most of them, look on the map on the SELECT menu and zoom as far in as possible so you can plot a course for those little hidden dots). I also recommend that you use a helicopter (either find it or get a heavy drop) because it gets you to places you can not go on foot (eg mountains) | ||

| Liberate easily, either montano or government, by following this technique: Go to the place where you wanted to liberate and get close to the leader of liberation(the one pointed with arrows). DON'T start liberating by talking to him. Have a heavy drop of an agency GP. Get into it and set the weapons to missiles. Now talk to the leader of liberation and start the liberation. Get into the GP and carefully drive the car and always fire the missiles until the three blockades will be destroyed. All you need to do now is get off the car and switch the flags. Now you can liberate with no sweat. Last time I did this on a government ruled place, it only took me less than 10 seconds. Try it. | ||

| When overthrowing a province, always check on the map and political map. Make sure to focus first on the province you wanted to be overthrown in the political map. Then, look at the map. You will see that on one province there is always one or more city and a military base. Liberate the cities first before going into the military base within a province so you can have many points. For example, in a province there are two cities and, of course, a military base. If you directly liberate the base, you only get 50 points since bases are worth 50 points. But if you liberate first the two cities then the base, it will give you a total of 110 points since cities are worth 30 points. Remember that you can only overthrow a province if it is colored red in the political map. If it is colorless, it is government stable. You can only liberate it after completing missions, not side missions. After the mission, the colorless will turn to red meaning you can only liberate it. Green ones mean it is already guerilla stable. | ||
