Play Custom Soundtracks in Crazy Taxi 98%
Your music and audio files must be in a specific place.
There are 2 folders that the PSP can read music out of but only one is recognized by this particular game. Put your MP3 files into the root-level MUSIC folder. When you boot Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars and the Custom Soundtrack option is blanked out as "inactive", you need to put your music in the right folder.
So when you pop in your Memory Stick or USB-connect your PSP, if the 1st folder you open does not have a folder that says MUSIC (you should see MP_ROOT, MUSIC, PICTURE, VIDEO, PSP, and maybe a few other folders depending on how you formatted your Memory Stick), go ahead and make a folder called MUSIC on the root directory level there. Then drop your music into it (or transfer your music from the PSP/MUSIC folder, as that old folder is now a duplicate that you can keep or ignore), and boot the game. Now you will be able to play your own MP3 music and other audio files while playing Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars!

Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars

Crazy Taxi™: Fare Wars on the PSP® brings multiplayer gameplay and other brand new features to this fan-favorite series
for the first time. It’s an all-out bumper brawl as cabbies race, ram, smash and
dash to steal fares and score big tips. To nab passengers from opponents’ cabs,
two cabbies will crash into each other for endless entertainment and hilarious
chaotic competition via Ad Hoc.

Another new feature for the classic series is a custom music player that
allows drivers to groove to their own tunes while racing through town. Using
their PCs, players can convert and transfer songs from any CD onto their PSP
system for a truly personalized experience. Drivers can also record and save
gameplay replays of their driving performance in Crazy Taxi 2 on the PSP
system's memory stick to replay and show off.

Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars offers cabbies several single player modes including
the mission-based Arcade mode, where skilled drivers earn time bonuses, and Time
Trial mode, where drivers collect the highest fares possible in the time
allowed. In addition, two mini-game training modes allow cabbies to practice and
perfect their crazy driving skills. They include Crazy Box, a collection of 16
original Crazy Taxi mini-games and Crazy Pyramid, a series of mini-games
arranged in a pyramid to complete in order to unlock more mini-games from Crazy
Taxi 2.
