| If you accidently shut off your system before it saves your alias file may be orrupted. However, this does not necessarily means you have to start from scratch. Reboot your PS2 and go to the memory card browser. Locate the corrupt file (your alias or profile for NFS) and delete just that file. You will see another file on the card which is your 'Career' file. Do not delete this block! Start up ProStreet and you will be asked to create another Alias. By doing this, you can get the full 500 points toward dominating an event. Note: This only works while in the same car previously damaged during an earlier event. # Recommended dragster The Toyota Supra with all Level 4 performance parts can do the quarter mile in under 7 seconds if tuned properly. -From: Barry Woods A really good dragster is the Dodge Challenger R/T. The car runs 7.6 seconds in the quarter mile fully upgraded. If you make the rear shocks stiff, the car will stand on the rear end all the way down the track, and will do over 1,000 foot wheelies. If you make the rear shocks soft, you can run 7.6 seconds in the quarter mile and not have to worry about the front end lifting up. Some tuning will be needed, and knowledge of cars will definitely help. A good dragster is the Nissan 240SX. The first chance you get, choose the 240SX. Put on all the best performance parts you can afford. Remember, you need a lot of speed and traction. After you start setting new track records, you will be invited to race Karol Monroe the Drag King. # Defeating Ryo Watanabe Use the following cars to defeat Ryo Watanabe. Upgrade all cars with Level 4 performance parts and max out the aerodynamics. Note: Bring lots of Total Markers to Race Day. Grip: Pagani Zonda. Use a "Free Car Marker" for this car, if available. You can also use this car to defeat the Grip King. Drag: Ford Shelby GT500 or Chevrolet Chevelle SS. Do not do anything to the aerodynamics of the Chevelle. You can also use those cars to defeat the Drag King. Drift: BMW Z4 M Coupe. Even though it has low stats, it is a great drift car. You can use this car to defeat the Drift King. Alternately, use the Mazda RX-7 if you have won it from the Drift King. It already has all Level 4 performance parts all you have to do to it is increase its aerodynamics. Speed: Ford GT. | Ok first of all I got a chevrolet z06 as my grip car and I want a 911 turbo so I wont sell it instead I do this cheat (z06 too much power but won easily with ray) so 1st of all put in the "unlockallthings" then sell the cars you get then save it exit your alias so then create a new career then do tht 1st race then exit that career then go bak to your first one then you notice all things got blocked maps and tier 3 cars so do the "unlockallthings" cheat and you get the cars again so sell them till you get loads of money you can keep repeating this till you have 2 million cash | ||

| Here is an easy way to beat ryo watanabe in need for speed prostreet. first, put in the cheat code unlockallthings. then when it goes back to the career menu, press triangle. go back into your career and then into your garage. you should have a dodge viper srt10, nissan 240sx, pontiac modern gto, and a cobalt ss. sell all four of those cars for about 90000 dollars. save the game. reset the game and repeat the process until you reach the desired amount of money. if you take autosave off, it makes the process a lot faster because it wont autosave at the end of every step of this process. then, with all of the money that you have saved up, buy a LAMBORGHINI murcielago lp640, bmw m3 e46, and 2 ford gts. make the lamborghini your speed car, one gt a grip car, the other gt your drag car, and the bmw your drift car. you must buy the e46, because the e92 has too much power. the gts and lamborghini will remain your cars for good, so give them all stage four performance parts and maximize theiraerodynamics. give the bmw m3 e46 all stage 2 parts except nitrous and maximize the aero. take the bmw to the drift king aki kimura. his name should be highlighted and there will be three drift races. enter that race day with the bmw. once you defeat aki kimura, you will win his drifting rx7. sell the bmw and use the rx7 to drift against ryo and use the lamborghini and gts against him in all of the other races. the rx7 will get you between three and six thousand point drifts as long as you do not use nitrous, because that will make it harder to drift. keep the pretuned drift to make sure that you dont mess up the blueprint. besides, it looks pretty cool. | ||

Grip-Nissan GTR-Upgrade to stage 4 to defeat the grip king.(Actually it's pretty easy.) Drag-Ford Shelby GT500-Upgrade to stage 3 to defeat the drag king.(Keep all performance tinning to stage 3 and body to whatever you want to defeat drag king easily.) Note:Upgrading to stage 4 can cause you loose control because you are actually doing a wheelie and if you try to turn either sides you end you trashing your ride. Wheelie-Challenger RT / Charger RT-Upgrade to stage 4 to do easy wheelie.(Upgrade to full to do the wheelie and in the race your car start by lifting 2 front wheels and all you have to do is try to do the best to keep your ride's front 2 wheels without contact to the ground. All you have to do is use nitro when the car wheels are dropping.) Note:It is good for maintain control because it feels a bit lighter to drive Speed-Chevelle corvette Z06-Upgrade to stage 4 to gain speed fast Note:It may feels harder to turn but there's isn't big turning in this event.(To easily win top speed event just use nitro when your car is 1/4 a mile away from every finish line.) Drift-Zonda F-I use it because I was desperate of loosing to the drift king Note:I think muscle cars are easy to use for this event because it does a good job loosing control and all you have to do is maintain it and before you know it you are drifting. | ||

| I don't know if this is a glitch or not but it's really cool. Enter career, go to code entry, and type in unlockallthings. Then get a good car for whatever king you want to race. Then go straight to the king's race day and race the king and beat him before you do any other race day. You will get his car. Then go to the race day right before the king race day and dominate it with the king's car. After you dominate the race day, the game will automatically put you in the race day to race that king again. Beat the king again. It won't show you the little video of the king's car after you beat him. Go to your garage and you will have that king's car twice. I don't know how many times you can do that. I did that with Karol Monroe and after I raced her again, I was surprised to find her car in my garage twice. I would sell the extra one to get some extra cash. | ||

| I've done some experimenting and this is what I came out with: Grip: Porsche 911 Turbo/ Ford GT Drag: Toyota Supra/ Pontiac GTO Wheelie: '69 Dodge Charger Drift: Mazda RX-7/ Mazda RX-8 Speed: Lamborghini Murcielago TUNING: Make them all maxed out at Lvl 4 apart from the Toyota Supra. It has a tendency to flip at high speed so only use Lvl 3 parts. Don't go into shock when you see the top power levels for the RX-7, RX-8 and 911 Turbo. Trust me, they're really good. But, of course, you don't have to use these. So here's a little ''general information'' that will help you choose something really good for each racing disciple. SPEED: Avoid using RWD or FWD cars for Speed events. Only use AWD cars as they have much more traction due to all the wheels spinning at the same velocity. DRAG: RWD cars are the best for Drag as they are the only cars that can do wheelies. You don't need a car that can do incredible wheelies as the Drag Queen can only do maximum 600. GRIP: Tend to use AWD cars as, like Speed, they have much more traction. But it's not that much a dilemma as the Grip King isn't that good. DRIFT: Drift events require RWD cars but get a car with good acceleration as the quicker your car accelerates, the faster you will pull into a slide. Speed matters. Hope this solves many a problem. | ||

| Spent quite a while working out which are the best cars for which events Grip: 1. All the mazdas are pretty standard, good handling, cheap. 2. The Cosworth is a personal favorite. Get some force under the bonnet, lvl 4 suspension, and you can take corners like there ain't no tomorrow (fairly cheaply as well). 3. The Porsches are damn good, but only for big straight circuits (get some good brakes, youll be needin em). 4. When you've got enough cash, get the sykline and do it up (pretty boring tho) Drag: 1. The Chevy SS is the best for wheelies, despite the warnings. Just do it up when you get the chance. 2. Shelby 500 3. Choose something that can stay on the mf ground! Pumped up cars just fly off if they aint got grip or are too light. Most of the expensive cars do shit on the strip, so but something cheap with horse power and tune it up. 4. The old shelby isnt all that good, dont bother, not worth it. Drift: 1. Lotus elise is good, though pretty slow, lets you control it easier. 2. To be honest, you can choose anything for drift, cos the game pretty much drives for you. Just upgrade the handling on what youve got. Speed: 1. Skyline and GTR are good enough for anyone 2. Porsches pretty good | ||
