Description: start with fifty lives
How to: Highlight "Erase Game" on the MAIN MENU, and press B, A, R, R, A, L. Keep in mind you must use the Classic Controller to do this.



Description: Access the in-game Music Test
How to: Highlight "Erase Game" on the MAIN MENU, and press Down, A, R, B ,Y, Down, A, Y, and Select. Keep in mind you must use the Classic Controller to do this.



Description: Access Practice Bonus Rounds
How to: Press the following button combination during the intro on the Classic Controller: Down, Y, Down, Down, Y.



WII Cheat by: Cheat Masters
Description: This glitch description refers to controls for the SNES control pad which are similar to those on the Wii Classic Controller. Your method of control (Wii Remote, for example) may require different button presses when playing this on the Virtual Console. This bizarre glitch can be pulled off in the first level of the game.

How to: Find Rambi and ride him back to the beginning of the level. Get off Rambi and grab the metal barrel at the level opening and throw it against a wall. Now, hop on top of the barrel and ride it towards Rambi while holding Y. When you pass Rambi, press B while still holding Y. You will mount Rambi and, while holding Y, have Rambi kick the barrel. When you let go of Y you will be riding a palette-swapped, 2nd Donkey Kong!



As soon as you start the mine cart mission do not speed up but drop directly off the 1st jump and you will fall into a barrel which will then shoot you to the near end of the mission.
