| I wasn't sure where to submit a "tip", I thought in the guides section, but I ended up posting it here. :) This is kind of long, but I love this game and I'm really bored right now. This regards the XBOX 360 version of the game, but I think it's the same for all platforms. Police pursuits are not like the ones in Need for Speed games. You can hit them, but they cannot be stopped by disabling them. Like in Midnight Club LA, the only was to evade is to outrun them. They can set up roadblocks in free play and in races, but the usually arrest you within five seconds of being under, about, 15 miles per hour. Once you are in a pursuit, you have to outrun the cops. Again, unlike Need for Speed, you can do anything in front of a cop, and not get pulled over. You can collide with a traffic car, pass traffic cars, or even cops, but if you hit a cop, you will automatically begin a pursuit. The other way to begin a pursuit is by hitting 2 traffic cars within a certain period of time. When you hit a car, you will hear a loud beep, and a little box will come up on your screen, notifying you how close the cops are to you. The box goes away within 20 seconds, and you are free. If you do hit another car while the box is present, you hear the beep again, and the police dispatcher requests for the units to pursue you. here was one of my mistakes in my first pursuit. I hid behind a Saturn dealer, off road, and I stayed there for almost an hour thinking they would never find me. The pursuit can only stop if you outrun them, or they bust you. When I'm playing in free roam, or whatever, and I get in a pursuit, I hit the map button on my D-pad, and it gives you an option. I'm currently the 4 of 5 rank, and if I opt to end the pursuit, you are only given a 7,000 dollar fee. But if you ram a cop, I think it's a bit more... Back to roadblocks, there is one more thing I want to add. Always listen to the conversations between dispatch and the units, if they request roadblocks--or whatever. The cops can set up roadblocks really fast, but there is almost always a little trick to them. There is usually a gap on at least one side of the roadblock, normally off road, and you blow right past them. Hope I covered everything, and I hope this helps! | ||
