| The transfer market is not only for buying players. There's such a thing as signing players on a free transfer. That means if a player's contract is expiring you may be able to offer him a contract. This is known as the Bosman Rule. In the first season, players like Michael Owen will be available to be signed under this. Those whose contract expire on 30/7(majority of them) would be able to be signed from January 1st of that year. So sign them. So, if you do the maths, its about 7 months before the contract expires you can already attempt to sign them. Let me warn you that if you try to sign players from clubs in the UK( England, Scotland, Ireland) under 24(and some 24, don't ask me why) you have to pay HALF their cost price(original price). For example I want to sign Fraizer Campbell(second season, then he would be 22 years old) and his price is 2.2M, you would have to pay 1.1M when you bring him over, as he came from Old Trafford. This fee would normally be deducted from your transfer fund, but if you are out of money, the board will pay it for you, so you do not need to worry. This is espacially useful for signing Huntelaar(pray that nobody buys him) and Vermealen for free if you don't have enough money. In Vermealen's case, he came from Belgium, and when you attempt to get him, he should be 22. So, in this case, you do not need to pay as he came from a country other than the UK. | ||

| I have noticed that some players, if you put them through the right training, they can become much better than when they started. For example, recently I brought in Gary Madine from Carlistle United(or was it?). He should start attracting your attention as a goal scorer around the 09/10 season as he would score tons and is a very young person. Now, if you put him through the correct training, his stats from all red can improve to the next colour(can't remember, sorry) and even green. Let me give you a short brief on training components: There's attacking, defending, tatics, goalkeeping, technical and fitness. Attacking actually improves on crossing, shooting, dribbling and passing. Defensive improves on tackling, marking and what else makes sense to you as defensive. Tatics-well, I'm not sure but I think its movement and things like that. Goalkeeping-You should know. Technical is on things like pace. Fitness would be on strength and stamina. LEADERSHIP stat CANNOT-I repeat CANNOT be boosted by training. Once a player has a leadership stat, it would stay with him. I suggest that you put ALL training modes to INTENSIVE fitness as your players would need it. The defenders be put on defensive, the midfields and attackers on attacking. However, young players with potential should be given 'special training. I suggest leaving the technical one for your 'special' program. How to now who has potential? You will know if you have the experience. I recommend that only a few players, with the same type of regular training be put under this program. So, put attackers if the training is to be altered to be for the attackers. Now, the 'special' program should be altered based on the player(s). So, put Intensive attacking, medium defensive and everything else intensive if the program is for midfields and/or attackers. It really helps.(Only if you find the right people, duh!) | ||

You should be able to find a AM/SC who has pretty good stats and is young. You should only do this during 2010/2011 as he appears around then. Some possible names are Marco Andrade and Marcio Cunha. He will rock and score goals almost every match. I play a 3-5-2 formation with attacking midfield. Play him at the Attacking midfield. Also, never buy young players from big teams unless they have a history with lousy ones as those from big teams aren't very helpful(unless you really see their potential.) REMEMBER: The best young guys aren't always from the big teams and a search to the lower league clubs could be helpful. You can be surprised by their impact on your game! | ||
